Yep. Wondering if lower level schools don’t become a farm system for 3 & some 4* kids. The ones who prove themselves get called up to a salaried roster spot.

But who's going to do that? If I'm Ole Miss, and Arkansas's over there telling players they can't get outside money or other endorsements, I'm like the heck you can't? Come to Oxford!

Btw, outside money has been the lifeline of college football since nearly its inception. If you try to put limits in place, you're just going right back to where we started before NIL bans were lifted. Take the blinders off!

An $80 million baseball stadium upgrade was just approved. Did a major football stadium upgrade at almost zero per cent interest before all the inflation hit.

That's an interesting notion. I'd have to think a ton of 3*'s could load the lower level rosters to gain size, experience and maturity and then move up from the farm system to feed the power school's rosters after a couple of yrs. Kinda like the old Juco system used to be.

The NCAA? These people will now be paid employees by the university so make them sign a contract that stipulates they may only receive money from any "approved vendors". Any infraction will cause the contract void.

What you're describing in the wild wild west and a business can't operate like that. It will now be structred more like a business.

Since they are now paid employees are they going to opt out of bowl games? Contract disputes? Get fined for missing class or practice? Fined for on the field infractions? Performance incentives? Good lord this is going to be messy.

This is a blatant lie about 99% of student athletes on any campus.

In sports other than football, sure.

Sure you can. All NIL money goes to the team.

The courts explicitly said you cannot.

The rules also said you can't "pay" players at this point. Only NIL. How's that working out? I just at all the black and white answers on this thread.

LSU makes over a $54 million dollar profit. They will be ok.

Texas A&M only makes about $34. Y’all may struggle directly from the school.

It's already messy. We're taking about taking students and universities and turning them into semi pro teams at this point. You don't think its going to be a shite show?

Absolutely it is. It already is. At this point I’m just along for the chaos.

Those are NCAA rules, which are a little less rigid than decisions rendered by courts.

Most P5 programs can do this without much issue

bullshite alarm just went off.

Also you can expect NIL to be the wild west from now on, as it should. This Supreme Court won't touch that issue with a vaccinated crowbar.

Free market capitalism is the American way, and every player is gonna get NIL to the amount of what the market says they are worth.

The AD department payment is a completely separate and unrelated souce of income for players.

Youngsters will be dreaming about getting rich in the SEC.
