Rats jump the ship first. I think it's unbelievable how short our fans memories are. Petrino is a rat. I'm starting to think our fanbase deserves him. A new OC would do wonders for our team. Chizik got a bad one. Combine with a totally different offense and you're going to have a shitty season.

who could they get to come after firing a coach that is just two seasons removed from winning a national title? Personally, I think he should send Newton 40% of his income for the rest of his life (with out him they likely would have lost no less than 5 games that season) but Auburn is pretty much stuck with him for at least another season, imo.

You do know he didn't reach in a hat full of OC names blindfolded when he hired Scott Leofler.
He also hired Ted Roof whom Auburn fans put the horrible defense blame on last season. BVG was the king of all DC's in the off season. The defense is still garbage. It's week 7 and Chizik is still talking about tackling better.

so buying a championship was really the worst thing that could happen to AU. i dont think he will get fired either. might change up the coordinators to appease the fanbase

Chizik is a CEO coach who lives and dies by his coordinators. Unfortunately for him, he chose the wrong DC the first time and the wrong OC the second time...hence why he is currently being given his last rites. I don't trust him to knock the next hire out of the park. Very nice guy, and I wish him all the luck in the world wherever he ends up.

Come on Bruh. The last 3 years , he's had better recruiting classes than Miles and this year Miles is down 6-7 starters since our spring game and we aren't as bad as Auburn.
There is absolutely no reason Auburn should suck this bad, this year or last. None what so ever. Auburn has a chance to go winless in the SEC and that SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN. NEVER.

The pressure on head coaches in our state by the deep pockets and the fan bases is crushing. In my lifetime, only 3 Coaches at Alabama have had what it takes to deal with that pressure; Bryant, Stallings and now Saban.
Perkins, Curry and Franchione were average head coaches that fled from the Pressure of the job. Mike Price had another Destiny .
Dubose and Shula achieved the peter principal, both promoted to the point of their incompetence. I think this is where you have to put Chizik. 2010 was the perfect storm for AU. Tubby was a great coach for AU and could have kept you at the top of the SEC. But I think the meddling finally got the best of him, so he said eff it.
Your next coach needs to be able to tell the meddlers to FO and control his coaches.
