The last LOIC team that got a TV ban was Ole Miss in '94 for a full year, and I can't recall how it all worked.
Plus, that was way before SECN, internet streaming games, etc...various ways to get around local blackouts. Hell, in `94, we LSU fans still had buy PPV Tiger Vision for lesser games because a quarter of the schedule wasn't locked into an espn/abc contract to broadcast all of them.
What's the rule? Local blackouts, but the opponent gets to see the game in its region? Both suffer with a national blackout that game and both fanbases have to listen to the radio for play by play or watch someone's live periscope?
Basically, I'm just concerned I might miss a dominating LSU win in Oxford cuz some Ole Piss fvckers tried to rent a LBer.

There's not even a need for a TV blackout since they won't have any fans willing to watch their sorry arse team anymore.

You can still see your team. They just pixelate the banned team.

Sometimes I am reminded of the saying that the internet brings the idiots of every village together. Welcome.

Yes.....I remember when Auburn got a TV ban for paying players. We had to watch the Iron Bowl on a big screen at BDS.

They don't do TV bans anymore because of how TV contracts are structured. They would just lose the T.V money and bowl league payout money. Which is devastating to a program. Football is a keystone sport that you can use as an asset to borrow against. The revenue from football support other niche sports that doesn't necessarily turn a profit.

TV bans will never happen again. The death penalty, as incredibly unlikely as it is, will happen before another TV ban.

Nobody is getting banned from tv anymore. Too much money plus they have contracts.

That would be like watching the scrambled porn back in the day.
