What's the worst NCAA snub you're team has had ?

Honestly, LSU has been pretty fortunate. One that sticks out in my mind, though was 1983, when LSU finished 2nd in the SEC. Even with our annual first game loss in the SEC-Tourney in that timeframe, the consensus was LSU was in ,even with the tourney at only 52 teams. Alabama and Tennessee who finished 7th and 8th in the SEC,but swept LSU that year,'took' LSU's place.
As for my 'team B', Vanderbilt, they truly did get screwed in 2000.
What say you ?

We were snubbed out of National Titles in 1929 & 1930. We went 19-1 both years.
Other than that, we have never been snubbed.

The SEC as a whole was snubbed by Arkansas when they lost to OSU

2004 AU obviously...not sure they would've beat USC that year...but I am confident they were a better team than Oklahoma

State basketball teams in 1959, 1961 and 1962. We got snubbed by our racist state government and governor and were not allowed to play in the NCAA's.

Easily the 2001 snub by the selecton committee was the worst as an Alabama fan. I remember watching the selection show and being in shock that our name wasn't announced. I kept thinking maybe I missed it. We won 21 games that season and still didn't get a bid. Ended up nearly winning the NIT but lost to Buzz Peterson's Tulsa team in the NIT final. Tennessee hired Buzz the next season.

Unbelievable how Georgia got in that year over Alabama. Georgia making it in 2001 was the NCAA taking TOO MUCH of a look into SOS and RPI. You do have to WIN some of those games, too.

Football - 1966
Won NC's (arguably) in 1964 and 1965. Went 11-0 in 1966 while Michigan State and Notre Dame tied in the "greatest game ever".
Basketball - 00-01
Went 8-8 in the SEC. Started out 10-0 in non-conference. Lost at Cincinatti by 3 and beat Ohio State at home. Our bubble burst mainly because of late season blowouts on the road at Ole Miss and at Florida and a loss on the last home game of the season to Arkansas.
The team ultimately got beat in the finals of the NIT.

Yep GA screwed Bama that year. The next year Bama lost to Stan Heath in the tourney and Arkansas hired him.
Edit: Will LSU or MSU hire the coach that beats Bama in the tourney this year.

My uncle remembers watching that team and said they were as good as anybody in the nation. Shame they got the eventual tournament champion in the first round.
