I agree. Utah may be the real deal. Will know more about them as the season progresses obviously, but they took Michigan and Oregon behind woodshed.

Re the SEC, we'll have to see where how dust settles but:

It's not the red team from AL; they are just not as impressive this year.

Ole Piss's defensive front is scary to me and their offense can operate.

The Faggies might have something going but have they played anyone?

If LSU can put it all together, watch out.

Re everyone else in the universe: I would guess the BIG 10 is going to produce a solid contender but not so much the other power conferences. I'm not investing a whole lot of attention, yet.

All that said, I truly think this year is up for grabs right now. Mid-season should start to see how things shake out, IMO.

You're 100% right. Bama's aura died after Kick Six and the Oklahoma debacle. There really isn't a feared team in CFB right now. We're truly in a transition era right now until the next great team steps up.

People don't want to play Utah and Michigan State because they are good. Not sure that translates to fear.

The possibility of getting physically dominated produces the fear. Only Bama and Ohio State have that history in the past few years. LSU might be right there if they continue to run teams into the ground.

Well we are on the verge of a winning streak against Bama so not them..

Just kidding.

But all the highly ranked teams, If you watch all of them Top 10 teams best game right now you would probably be worried about playing them.

Been hearing that for a while. By "pull it all together" do you mean "crack the top 100 in passing offense so we aren't so one dimensional that teams with a pulse can't just stack the box against us", or do you mean "figure out a way to play 4 qtrs of football on D so that teams with an actual pulse don't take advantage of that and LSU gets beat"?

I mean, I know 2015 is part of that "every 4th year" thing you guys believe in so much, but you didn't win the title in 2011, so isn't that kind of debunked by now? Carry on. LF7 for Heisman.

Hard to answer, because there are factors involved like home field etc, that make some teams appear on the list that might not otherwise be present, like LSU.

GA, Ole Miss, tOSU, Utah are teams feared right now IMHO regardless of where they play the game.
