In all honesty, parity is making all the teams have weaknesses. Frankly, I do not like it. With the advent of the 4 team playoff, I want at least 3 out of 4 of them to be Juggernauts where the games are must-see TV. Last year, the championship game was OSU-Bama. The winner would match up and maul the winner of FSU-OR.

I fear what my own team will do to my liver.

Looks like others in this thread think it is Bama as well. Though I said Bama probably doesn't fear everyone anymore.

Bama is still strong.

They look somewhat pathetic on offense with Kiffin and aren't feared like year's past...but the D is still there and there are only 5 teams I'd not want to play over Bama.

tOSU
Michigan State
Utah
Ole Miss
USC

Bama

Ohio State are the defending national champs so probably them.

Honestly...no one really though. Every team seems to have flaws you can easily point out. UCLA could have been scary had their three best defenders not gotten hurt

No way. I wish we played bama this week. They're vulnerable right now, so I'd prefer to get them while Buga's hot & they're still trying to figure it out. But I think we'll be more polished when November rolls around, so either way. Our skill players are still very young. Another month will do them a lot of good.

You said...

No one else really has the aura about them.

Neither does bama

I've seen many fans of other teams (Wisconsin for example) say that having Bama on the schedule makes it their biggest game of the year.

Congrats, ask them now that they have seen the other teams on their schedule play and aren't just going off the "bama aura".... (thread title says "right now" not pre season Wisconsin opinions)

So I don't know that anyone fears Bama

They don't... ole miss has 2 in a row on you

quote:

but they definitely prepare harder and play harder than against any other teams

This is just you thinking bama still has that "aura". Hence my full gump comment....

Smart answer.

They are going to playoffs.

Utah is as well.

Well I also said that I didn't think anyone fears Bama anymore, so I didn't claim Bama had it.

I'm sure they still do, have you seen Wisconsin's schedule? And I feel like you're implying a 6 point loss to a now top 5 ranked team when you're -5 in the TO margin means Bama suddenly loses any preseason mystique it could've had...

They don't... ole miss has 2 in a row on you

Congrats? Bama has 4 in a row on LSU but it doesn't mean LSU should be taken lightly.

I think most would agree that their team brings their A game for Bama. We still have Saban. We still have more talent than either anybody or almost anybody. The fear is probably gone, but you're crazy if you don't think opposing players and coaches are doing everything they can to play their A game. Sadly, that doesn't happen every week. Of course there are other teams such as Ohio State that teams try to play their A game for.

Bama is getting a lot of non-love.

And a lot of that is Kiffin. Media knows Kiffin (he is a cancer) - but I wouldn't want to play Bama or USC or Utah or tOSU.

I wouldn't care about playing Michigan State or TCU or Baylor or Oregon, etc.

In fact, I'd rather play Michigan State than Michigan.

But tOSU, Utah, USC and Bama scare me. Bama because of Saban, USC in spite of Sark. USC is just that talented while Bama has the coach.
