F35s are mediocre and aggies blow.

F16s smoke F35s. F22s are impressive.

Actually, no. F16s destroyed the F35 in head-to-head matchups.

Explain to me why we will not allow the export of the F22, but the F35 is going to be flown by many countries.

Aggie Pilots To Fly F-35As Over Kyle Before Vandy Game

Two Aggie pilots will fly F-35A fighters over Kyle Field before Saturday's football game vs. Vanderbilt. The flyover, set for 15 minutes before kickoff, is presented by the U.S. Air Force's 56th Fighter Wing out of Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. The F-35A Lightning II is the Air Force’s newest, fifth-generation fighter.

Donors to The Association of Former Students proudly help provide hotel accommodations for pilots and crew!

Pilots:

Maj. Justin “Char” Bellamy '08 (Corps outfit: Squadron 16)

Lt. Col. Tyler “Hook” Smith '04 (Corps outfit: Squadron 2)

In addition, four dedicated maintenance professionals will accompany the pilots, making this trip to Aggieland possible:

- Master Sgt. Donnie Brown
- Staff Sgt. Tarrus Cunningham
- Staff Sgt. Josh Martinez
- Airman 1st Class Jariah Pemble

This gameday in Aggieland incorporates many changes, as the Texas A&M community continues to work together to slow the spread of the coronavirus. Find details on gameday events and Kyle Field operations at gameday.12thMan.com/football and Association operations at tx.ag/gameday.

The Association is proud to support flyovers as a small way to thank the crews and to contribute to this part of the football gameday experience. Learn more about these demonstrations of skill and service: One of 2019's Aggie flyover pilots describes how they are executed and timed to the second at tx.ag/FlyoverTiming.

You’re repeating old out of context stories that are completely irrelevant in 2020.

Because the F-22 was never meant to be exported and its radar is very very special. (As well as it’s ability to operate as a ELINT node or an airborne command station)

F-35 was meant to be exported from the start and has to be hooked up into a network which the US controls to be run and maintained. We have the ability to shut off foreign F-35s.

F-35 will kill anything in the skies today in 2020 except F-22 and even then it’ll give it hell.

Just do some real research with an open mind and don’t fall for sensationalist headlines or idiots like Pierre Sprey.

Anyway, off topic. Hope LSU has a flyover.

If it's the Naval version, then it can't catch 80% of what's in the skies.

Actual head to head combat is not what wins today. Command and control, avionics and radar cross section is what wins.
