Smaller roads. I stay off freeways whenever possible.
You'll get better scenery, and folks won't be driving as fast.
Drawback is that hotel bathrooms are harder to find.

My car slows down, when approaching the rear of another.
When having to cross multiple lanes of traffic quickly, I don't have to worry about the car in front of me suddenly slowing.
