Only one league series win this season. Currently 7-15 in league play. 2-11 in their last 13 games. No conference title in nearly 30 years.

Not to mention the grass looked like crap last night with 1/2 the infield being dead.

State fans ready to see Cohen go?

Dudy Noble was a sad sight last night.

I was tempted to start a thread that asked what State fans think of Cohen, but I figured it would automatically be written off as a troll.

He needs to find some consistency. To be fair, he's recruiting against conference foes that have outstanding facilities, while pre-renovation Dudey is somewhat of an eye-sore

I wouldn't mind hiring the coach from Louisville or offer Tim Corbin whatever it takes.

Corbin wouldn't come to State.

Period.

Honestly I don't think I've come across a single thread this spring regarding Cohen's performance. It's certainly a more refreshing topic than campus beauty, NFLU fights, fulmer cup standings, and academic rankings

This would be Cohens 4th losing season in SEC play in his 7th season.

Not good

But you fail to note he made the CWS finals, 2 super regionals and won the SEC tourney as well.

His first two seasons were the product of Polk's demise as a head coach. He had to build us up from that. Not to mention, he took us to the national championship two years ago. His style of baseball doesn't seem to be fitting in with the rest of the country. It'll be interesting to see how he adjusts, if at all.

Pretty sad state of affairs at State.

2 years ago, we played for the natty.

We had a regional handed to us last year at Lafayette with Jackson State's upset, and we ended up being beaten badly twice by the Cajuns.

This year has been pitiful.

The sports gods need sacrifices for making Mississippi State football #1 in the nation for five weeks.

So his team got hot at just the right time in one season.

This is his 7th season and will be his 3rd time missing the post season Bundy. That's not that strong of a resume. He has had 4 losing league records in 7 years.

Chizik had one good season as well.

I was all for getting rid of Polk and hiring Cohen. As stated in an above post, the first two years Cohen was cleaning up Polk's mess. I had been overly satisfied until this year. I don't know what has happened. We were supposed to have these great recruiting classes, but we have a bunch of 5'7, 150 lb hitters and bad pitching. I think he deserves probably two years to straighten this out, unless next year is really bad, and then he'd have to go.

Did you not get enough information from the other billion threads about this? We suck. Our pitching isn't near about what it was with the old balls especially for Ross Mitchell, and our bats have never been the type to put up big numbers. We play small ball, and this year we're getting waxed because of it.
