I think doing away with the Corps block at football games would help my perception. Unfortunately that's all TV broadcasts show, and so your average fan thinks our student body is 50% corps kids.

Honestly where did the corndog crap start with LSU? everytime I go to a game in Baton Rouge, I have never smelled corndog ever and I have been to a ton of games. It's mostly the smell of jambalaya or seafood gumbo or etoufe

It started with Nebraska (Cornhuskers and all) and then Auburn fans applied it to LSU for some reason.

Georgia fans started the 'jorts' thing for us.

Oh. I figured it would have been Ole Miss fans who started it.

That's never bothered me. Stone Cold Steve Austin wears jorts.

I only know two people that wear jorts. One is a ug fan and the other is a fsu fan.
Jorts doesnt bother me though. I may get some to wear to games and church.

My clemson friend wears jorts
So does my roommate, but he isn't a sports fan.

Id like gators to defend how the frick Florida can have the most generic athletic facilities across the board (baseball, basketball, football for the most part though the swamp does have its charm) and the most ho hum campus and college town and yet come away with the best combo of athletics and academics outside of Stanford. Totally runs antithetical to the facilities arms race going on and I want to know how you frickers do it, God dammit
It's so true. Gainsville is the most unimpressive college town I have been too. Their facilities are nice but nothing amazing either. UF just knows what they're doing.

Our mascot is a revolutionary war hero, not just another tiger.
LSU's Mascot is from A Civil War Army unit that still exists today - the 141 LINK
It represents Louisiana and that is why we are the Fighting Tigers, and not just some lame arse Tiger

I agree with this. The Corps Block is only as old as the Big 12 Conference.

Yes but his he man toughness quota is pretty much he beat up his ex wife a few times.
When the best you can hope for is Jim Ross screaming "Bah Gawd he beat up a woman less then half his size!"
Well... you might just be d-bag.

I never wear jean material at all. I'll certainly be rocking Faded Glory cargo shorts from Walmart until the day I die though.

That's how it works

- A couple of horns started the "aggy" thing just a few years back; for zero reason, the posters over here latched onto it (without knowing the origin) like manna from Heaven.
- I'd never heard the A&M/gay connotation until we joined the SEC. Once again, posters on this message board--giggling like schoolgirls at some of our all-male military-based traditions--began passing around the bizarre reference incessantly. Oddly enough, we've always been [erroneously] accused of being intolerant towards alternative lifestyles.
- "Fake Army" ... Not only is it inaccurate, it's stupid.
Once you realize that the folks who typically sling that kinda stuff have issues, you learn to laugh and move along.

You must have not been an A&M fan for long then.
