People were always pissed that coaches could "leave when they wanted and take another job", now players can leave fast than coaches.

So what's next in this free agent mercenary world of college football?

Make millions per year....check.
Unlimited transfers.... check.
NO CONTRACT.... check.
No GPA requirement.... check.

Soon to be gone.... eligibility limits, red shirting, and school registration.

Something has to change. This system is completely unsustainable. The problem is Congress has to get involved and that means on the flip side CFB players will be “unionized” just like the NFL

To the NFL.

If I’m going to watch paid professionals make millions playing a game with no loyalty to my school, I’m going to watch the elite of the elite do it. Guys who’ve earned it and have to bust arse just to stay on a roster.

The NFL needs a minor league. Student athletes need to meet min student requirements.

Im old enough to remember a good lineman that couldn't qualify. They worked on his reading and math skills to get him qualified. He was great.

Still if there was a NFL minor league more teams would be like indiana.....this year.

It's not gonna happen and I'm not sure I'd be all in but some of these players are "not there to Play School" as a wise tOSU player once said.

Why do people keep saying this…’’things have to change’’. ‘’This is unsustainable’’. No it doesn’t

I think contracts should last longer than 1 year. Why not have a multi year agreement so we don’t have to re-sign our entire team every year

This shite is wilder than the NFL. No CBA and there are even playoff head coaches leaving their teams prior to the playoffs. Crazy, crazy times

The state of college football is crazy land. You have QB's making more than their NFL counterparts, boosters openly flaunting rules, and players with AGENTS before even getting out of HS.

Anything goes. It is the Wild West. The schools with the most money have an advantage. It's no longer a blue-blood thing.

They should crack down on some of the grifters. A quality agent that just looked out for the kid with a certification.

and i dislike most of this shite.

Need to put some sort of cap on what they can make. Also have either 2 or 3 year contracts with one transfer limit. If you transfer before end of contract you pay back your school costs and nil money.

College football isn't a thing anymore. It's just a lower level professional football league now and it sucks. When you have college players making more than NFL players then something is really wrong. One year contracts is the norm in college ball now and it is ruining it.

And those aren't even guaranteed 1yr deals. I'm sorry, but opting out of a bowl game should be a violation of your contract.

Kickers negotiating on the sidelines.

"50 grand and I'll make this kick for ya, coach."

Schools are dumb to not let them unionize. It would be the weakest union in the country with full turnover every 5 years
