My guess is that the other conferences
refuse to play SEC teams if former pro players are allowed to come back. I think the playoffs are in jeopardy.

My very limited understanding of this, I think the sec could face a lawsuit for punishing lsu so that would be super messy, however sec membership isn’t protected. I think it boils down to kick lsu out or take it on the chin. Not sure what lsu, the sec or member institutions would do in that scenario. It’s kind of a Mexican standoff. How badly do members want to uphold the rules. Is the financial hit worth the boot for the sec? How confident is lsu they won’t get booted for defying sankey? Is playing the players worth it? I personally think lane suits them and won’t need them so they won’t play.

It’s a big gamble on LSUs part and I don’t think it matters if they play former
pros or not. The SEC presidents will
probably vote to take the financial hit
now and push LSU out. Then who is
going to agree to play LSU ? Probably
no one in a major conference.

They are not defying Sankey. He did not get a vote on this rule prohibiting pro players. They are defying the other SEC members. They are even defying themselves as LSU voted in favor of passing the rule.

So no, LSU is not defying Sankey. LSU is defying every school in the SEC, even LSU.

Judge can do no such thing. He also cannot keep teams from boycotting or the SEC from expelling LSU

Correct, SEC would have exposure. How far that extends to member schools if they try to punish LSU? Unknown.

Also, LSU could face lawsuits from the players if it takes measures not to roster the players because of SEC threats.

Thats my understanding at least.

And he will order that LSU must play in the Sugar Bowl. Every game, the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans. Gonna be so many Sugar Bowls this year.

Sugar Bowl stacked, Fiesta Bowl fricked.

What’s next is every SEC program bloviating about boycotting or kicking LSU shuts their mouths, lines up and plays the games on their schedule.

You all will take it on the chin, quietly.

Every power 4 conference has enacted a ban on former pro players.

They obviously won’t accept LSU as a member. They may refuse to even play them. If so, that will be the end of LSU football relevance.

There’s no way you all believe half the shite that comes out of your mouth. Do you really think Ohio State is going to refuse to play an SEC team in the CFP?

People need to remember this is a one time thing as well, with this five or five ruling. If the SEC wants to kick us out over two players for a one year deal, that’s on them, but I don’t think that’s very smart.

This is how a founding member of a power four conference gets kicked out of “their” conference.

LSU has put their future in this guys hands.

One time my arse. If the courts have proved anything it isn’t a one time deal. You truly are ignorant
