Stallings jumped ship while/after getting bama on probation. Fran jumped ship because ANOTHER probation was coming. I think Saban is looking for a life raft right now with the next shoe about to drop and bama's 6th major probation in 15 years or so.

I don't really care that much if we lose Smart (I don't think we will.) I mean I would rather not but we lost Kevin Steele as our DC after the 2007 season and, yeah that turned out ok.

The worst case scenario would be that we name him coach in waiting at some point when he's being offered another job. I don't think that's likely though.

Somebody who may or may not know what he's talking about told me the reason these assistants are leaving ALABAMA is because Saban is heading back to the NFL.

Why can't bama keep a HC?

Stallings didn't leave due to the probation... he left because he did NOT get along with the president at the time. Stallings isn't a bitch.

Francione left for lots of reasons... lots of them were family related. He was a bitch.

Shula was fired for Saban. Do you disagree with that move?

Alabama is a fine place for a HC. Our fans idolize you... if you are successful you are God. We also pay... lots. Some coaches can't handle pressure. Saban? I'm thinkin he can handle it.

He'll stay or we'll pick up another good coach. Maybe the guy that's responsible for Auburn's only legitimate NC for... that Bama helped him get last year.

Wouldn't doubt it. The probation that is about to drop on bama is gonna hurt since they are still in that repeat violator window (the one they never seem to leave).

lol. you guys are awesome.

then again, on the off-chance that what you said had ANY remote possibility of being true, straight up... good luck to Saban and his wife. thank you for fixing up our HC position and making it look like the job it should be to other coaches.

i'm sure we could get anyone we wanted within obvious reasoning.

you really don't know how bad it can be to just KNOW you live this close to people SO full of fear and hate.

it really unfortunately just rubs off on me... makes me hate them just because of how horrible THEY are. really, i think alabama fans wouldn't know hate if not for auburn. most alabamians are so fricking chill by nature.. and country.. that we don't have time for that shite.

btw, you can read half my posts on auburn and realize how "well" i adapt to it.

"Haha. You are just pissed because you are STILL on probation. 5th one since AU has had any.

And you can't keep coaches. They want to GTFO ASAP. AU coaches stay for a third of the money they could make elsewhere because they actually like AU. Bama coaches hate having to live in t-town and listen to the toothless nation."

Typical lying, dishonest hypocrite Auburn fan. Alabama has had a textbook episode and the Means episode was happening around the time of Auburn's last cheating episode with its basketball program. You cheaters are so dishonest you can't even be honest about your own probations. Always pointing the finger at others while praying to your false idol doctrine the Auburn Creed. You paid Bowden hush money while you were still on probation in the mid 90s or otherwise he would have come clean about the documented PFP before the statute of limitations was up. You guys were doing EXACTLY what got SMU the death penalty. Alabama has had a terrible NCAA history since the early to mid 90s. At least we own up to our problems and don't hide behind some cultish self proclaimed mythical virtue of moral superiority like the Auburn "family" does.

As for Tuscaloosa, Alabama fans have NEVER claimed it as utopia the way Auburn fans do with Auburn. However, it is interesting that Auburn fans are always bragging about how fast Auburn is growing compared to the rest of the state when Tuscaloosa actually grew the exact same rate as Auburn since 2002 (18%).
