I was 11 in '88. We had just moved to Birmingham from Shreveport. My dad knew I was missing my friends in Louisiana so he got me tickets to the LSU-Bama game in Ttown. We won by one point (if I remember correctly). Fell in love at the moment we entered the stadium.

Since around 1980, when Bama beat Arkansas in the 1980 Sugar Bowl. Well, it's the earliest game I remember anyway.
Though it may have been even earlier, while watching Coach Bryant on Sundays - drinking his coca cola, munching on chips, and talking about how great a certain players mammas and daddies were.

When I was eleven, my dad took me to the 1985 Iron Bowl where we watched Van Tiffin become an Alabama legend. It was my first college football game, and I have been a true fanatic ever since.

20+ years ago, when my grandpa took me to my first game.

Probably about 1996. I recall going to games against teams from Texas as a child, but not remembering who won, nor GAF.
I didn't really start paying attention until the Danny Ford era, sadly.

I was 10. And my favorite Kentucky player was a kid named Pookie Jones.

1969 at age 6.
First game in Death Valley Oct. 25, 1969 with my Dad. #7 LSU 21 #5 Auburn 20
To show how times were back then, we beat Alabama in '69 and '70, but lost to Ole Miss in '68 and '69. We also split with Notre Dame in '70 and '71.
Favorite game around that time - Dec. 5, 1970 on Prime time ABC with Chris Schenkel and Lee Grosscup - for the SEC Championship.
LSU 61 Ole Miss 17 in an hysterical and orange-bombarded Death Valley :)

This, I was able to call the hogs since I was about 2.
I was an infant during the 1994 Championship year, my dad would lay me on the coffee table in front of him and scream at the TV during the NCAA Tournament, by the final four his yelling didnt even bother me.
