I was thinking Chris Jackson too. He got lost in the shadows somehow. I bet Shaq didn’t forget him.
Leon was very good, Shaq was better. Bernard King should be on everyone’s list.

Can't argue with those starters, but I'd have Robert Horry as a 6th man on the bench.

You can't go wrong with that list. Watching Chris Jackson was like watching magic. Even though he only played two years and went pro, he set an NCAA freshman scoring record (30 ppg) that has yet to be broken in 29 years. He was also the SEC player of the year in both the years he played as well as 1st team All American in both years. He scored double figures in 63 of the 64 games he played in.

When Chris was in HS at Gulfport, Coach Jenkins once blindfolded him in practice and he made 100 consecutive free throws. He was incredible.
Should have come to State instead of LSU but that was right before CRW got the State program going again.
Not sure he is top five but he definitely ranks up there in all time best.

Even though LSU has never won a championship you can make an argument for 3 LSU players on this list. Shaq has a statue and a retired jersey, but as a lifelong Tiger fan who saw Shaq and Chris Jackson play, the two players who achieved legendary status in Baton Rouge are Pistol Pete and Chris Jackson. Shaq is loved and revered down there and well-deserved, but Pete and Chris are the ones that are spoken about as if they were myths. So, throw those three, Bernard King or Dominque at 3 and Barkley or Anthony Davis at 4 and you've got a darned good team.

This sounds like an urban legend.
I was an excellent shooter in highschool, shooting well is at least 1/3 eyes. Even from the same spot, over and over.

LSU has arguably 2-3 of the SEC's all time, and no titles. I hate my life.
