Texas and Ou fans both already believe that LSU fans are the worst because we bullied them in the meetings we met.

They they both no longer get the calls. Bama gets em all

It amazes me the amount of people that have not only convinced themselves of this but other people

The Big 12 was made up of the Big 8 and Texas, A&M, Baylor, and Texas Tech from the SWC. That means at best Texas had 4 votes (33%) in a 12 team conference... In what way could Texas have possibly run the show. Did Texas have a big voice? Of course, we have been one of the top grossing if not the top grossing athletic department for many years. Sure they could have vetoed anything with those 4 votes but so could the original Big 8.. And all the Big 8 members had to do was flip one vote to get anything they wanted passed.
"One point of contention in the Big 12 was the unequal distribution of TV revenue, as was common in most other top conferences. Nebraska, Texas, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma objected to equal sharing, according to former Commissioner Dan Beebe. Four votes gave them the ability to block revenue sharing votes. After his 2011 firing, Beebe said that Oklahoma, Nebraska, and even Texas A&M were interested in "developing their own distribution systems" for sports programs."
Wow.. You mean Texas wasn't the only school that wanted control over their tier 3 media rights?? I am absolutely shocked at this revelation. They all wanted their own network, Texas was the only one with the juice to actually make their own network actually happen. When it did, it was easy for the others to throw stones, cry about it, and blame Texas for being greedy and destroying the conference.
After Colorado and Nebraska left the vote came up again on whether to give control of all sports media rights to the conference and: "Following the near disaster in 2010, the other five pushed for a spring vote on a "Grant of Rights" deal that would grant all sports media rights of member schools to the conference. This would make it very difficult for a key school to leave. The proposal needed a 75% majority, but was defeated by Texas, Oklahoma and Texas A&M."
Wow... Would you look at that A&M and Oklahoma voted to veto giving up control of their own media rights along with Texas. I am just shocked at these revelations...
At this point, for Texas fans, the topic is just beating a dead horse..

You don’t think Texas (a huge cash cow especially in the Big 12) would have a huge influence on the conference?
All you had to do was threaten to leave and other schools would bow to you because outside of UT and OU what really is there left?
OSU
KU
Baylor
T Tech
TCU
ISU
KSU
West Virginia
Who’s going to drive the revenue for that conference? That’s about as bad as the American. Worse than the Big East used to be.
You would have to be naive to think Texas didn’t have more influence than their one vote.

And you listed the schools post 2011 Big 12... After it was pretty much already all but dead, just a matter of how much longer could it survive.
I'm talking about the original Big 12 when it had 4 nationally relevant brands and the ability to be a power conference for a long time. I can without a doubt promise you that Texas with its 3 other votes were not pushing around Nebraska, OU, and the rest of the other Big 8 schools and all you have to do is go look up one quote from Tom Osborne and his feelings towards Texas to understand that.
At the end of the day Texas, Nebraska, Texas A&M, and OU all wanted control over their own tier 3 media rights and they all voted that way until the day they left the conference. Nebraska, Texas A&M, and OU all wanted their own network like Texas, Texas was just the only one that could make it a reality. When it became clear that the others couldn't, it became sour grapes, and a bunch of bitching and whining about how Texas was greedy and the only one who didn't want a conference network and the conference to control their tier 3 media rights. You didn't here much bitching from OU because they were to busy winning Big 12 title after Big 12 title.
The way people speak about it you'd think Texas had it in minute fine print that their one vote was worth 75% in the Big 12 by-laws

No, it’s because the LSU fans, including 12 year olds were vile and yes threw piss balloons and worse. Act like youve been there before. Hopefully they’ll at least show some class in Norman.

Texas hasn't played in Baton Rouge since 1953. There are probably only a couple of them still alive who remember how shitty it actually is.

The Board of the University of Texas System will vote on which of these will be allowed to remain, and which will be eliminated.

Rocky Top may be the best fight song in CFB, and if you think they play it too many times...uh, we have some bad news for y'all. No problems there.
Bama gets calls, Texas gets calls, it is what it is. We just look forward to being able to breathe on a WR without six different flags.
We're not gonna say much about the Grove until all the new visitors force our admin to fix the Norman tailgating situation. Way too many restrictions here.
Permanent rivalries are great as long as ours isn't Alabama, or something dumb like South Carolina. Can we have a Stoops Bowl with UK?
Missouri doesn't belong anywhere and we're used to them.

The hell? Assuming that's not a metaphor, that. That's 100% the first thing we're not going to like. Are there people in this conference who do like that?
