quote:No Saban buying all the talent up in the conference ruined it. Now it's starting to show as the other teams can buy players and they are spreading out and jumping in the transfer portal. 1 team not having all the players sitting the bench is balancing the conference back out and making all the games worth watching like it used to be. In a couple years making it undefeated in the SEC will mean something again.
It was actually what college football is suppose to be and how it was before ESPN ruined it and now NIL is the final
Blow.

It was an ugly game.
I like Auburn though. Sad to see them squander such a big lead like that.
That game looked like Pruitt and Butch coaching against each other lol.

That was the kind of dog shite tier football that makes you want to gauge your eyes out with a rusty spoon that was dug out of the garbage dump

Arletta: You know, sometimes, I wished people was like dogs, Luke. Comes a time, a day like, when the bitch just don't recognize the pups no more, so she don't have no hopes nor love to give her pain. She just don't give a damn.

I’d say being down 17-0 on the road and then winning is earned
Right! 21 unanswered, on the road at AU, but somehow LSU didn’t “earn” the win.

Piss off. Our rag tag squad earned every bit of that victory. New coach, new staff, and roster patched together with transfers after coach O blew holes in the bottom of the boat after he steered it on the rocks. That team played for 4 quarters. Sorry yours didn’t. It was ugly yes but that team showed something we haven’t seen in a couple years.

Was the epitome of football without talent and qualified coaching. AU was pathetic; at least we are now correcting the situation for better days ahead. I wish you luck LSU but that staff didnt earn a victory last night, it was gift wrapped with a bow and presented with spread cheeks.
Luke: Well even during the 2000 to 2019 run starting with Saban and ending with O, Burrow and Aranda as DC, LSU only beat Auburn at Jordan-Hare in 2008, 2012 and 2018 and all were literally last second wins. IN 2020, the last time Coach O took LSU to JH, LSU got destroyed 48-11.
LSU started this season with 71 initial qualifiers, and 75 total scholarship players (4 preferred-walkons got Schlarships). Mason Smith is out for the year, Major Burns is out 4 weeks, so LSU went into week 5 with 69 Scholarship players who signed out of HS somewhere. OF LSU's 71 initial qualifiers that started fall camp, 15 were Portal guys and 15 were HS signees, so only 41 players left over who played together last year (and Emery did not play last year at all), and only 38 of those 41 suited up for the KSU bowl game.
What does all this mean? Well culture change, LSU had played every snap and every minute of every game full speed with maximum effort. Total change from the last 2 years with O where it was hit or miss.
With Banks hurt last night, LSU will be short another scholarship player but we get Dellinger the LG back who was out last night.
LSU will be in close games pretty much every game as long as the LSU O does not turn the ball over and at least is neutral in special teams (can't have the 1st game FSU FUBAR situation). LSU's defense of talent and scheme is good enough to keep LSU in every game. The OL is starting 2 FR at Tackle, it is getting better each week, last night first big-time road environment in front of 90k fans. Not great, but passing grade, especially on the run game.
This will be the weakest roster LSU has under BK in terms of numbers and depth.
The LSU/Auburn game is always one that I pencil down on the schedule, LSU lost a heart breaker last year in BR (one that I thought LSU let get away, Auburn lost a heartbreaker last night I am sure Auburn fans feel like they let get away. Great series, underrated rival game that will likely go away when the SEC expands to 9 games so I am going to take this W and be grateful LSU got one at JH (I have seen elite Bama teams struggle to win their in late November when it is basically a night game in the 2nd half).

Sir what we saw was an Auburn team that gave LSU all that they can handle. You saw kids fighting for there head coach job. As for as talent goes, LSU is loaded with it. LSU spotted Auburn 17 points on there home field, and found away to still win. You saw Alabama do it against Texas, and you saw Georgia do it against Missouri. This is what good teams do. With the close lost to Florida State. LSU could easily be undefeated.
