Georgia - Laremy Tunsil
LSU - Shea Patterson
Alabama - Robert Nkimdeche and Tony Conner
MSU - Tee Sheppard and CJ Johnson

They all had the NCAA on speed dial

2008

It resulted in the firing of the worst coach to ever grace the sidelines of the SEC and the hiring of one of the current best in the SEC.

After winning 4 of 5 egg bowls from 2009 forward, ole miss was sent into a level of cheating never before seen in the SEC. Now that they have been caught in some of it, they will be relegated to homecoming opponents to SWAC teams and will long be known as cheaters and their coach a hypocrite.

That was the best loss.

Since you've only beaten UGA 1 of the last 11 and only 8 outta 37 since since '71 I think the 31-27 loss in '96 is my fav...

Sylvester Croom was FAR from the worst coach in SEC history.

I remember USA Today praising the school for its diversity in being the first major school in the Deep South to hire a black coach.

I wonder why the media doesn't harp on this anymore? They used to jump on the cultural diversity band wagon every time a SEC HC job came open.

For me it would be the one in the early 70's where we lost with 1 second left on the clock. Oh shite nevermind sorry.

Look at that banner...SEC Western Division Champions 2003!!

Yea, Eli Manning didn't trip over his lineman on that final fourth down play. He threw a TD pass that somehow I missed.

Croom was a terrible coach, agreed, but USC's Brad Scott, Georgia's Ray Goff, Auburn's Doug Barfield and LSU's Mike Archer and Curly Hallman were all worse.

MSU put the SEC on their backs and ended racism.

If I had to pick one, 1969 to Archie.
I will say the 2001 loss at home to the Rebs propelled LSU to 6 straight wins and the Sugar Bowl and #7 final ranking.

He was hired because of a deal made with the NCAA that allowed state college to put themselves on probation, instead of the NCAA doing it for the shady Jackie Sherrill decade....it was a win for MSU.
