Actually barnett didn't fumble the ball but called for the snap too soon causing it to hit the man in motion. Stupid call when trying to run out the clock. Anyway i'm sure saban was looking for anything to get the team to work their butts off this week.

Saban likes to win and likes to see his players perform up to his and their standards. When they don't and they play sloppy and undisciplined, he gets angry. He's always been that way. He wasn't the only one angry with most of the offensive play calling yesterday.

I'm no Bama fan nor Saban apologist, but it was a terrible play call. Just snap the ball, run a dive, milk the clock and get out of there relatively healthy and with a 5 TD win.
Getting cute while up late is never a good idea and rarely ends well.
Still, Saban probably should've had his outburst after the fumble instead of after his defense gave up a score.
