My point is that you have to be smart enough to not get caught in this. Because this is what it is.

Maybe for the have nots like Ole Miss. There’s a point when illegal recruiting doesn’t even make sense when it comes to risk/reward assessment. Especially for those that have everything to lose.

I don’t know, man. I’m not reading all this crap. Auburn guy said Auburn/Cam were innocent because nothing was proven against them by the NCAA. I thought of OJ as an example of how a lack of conviction doesn’t always mean innocence. That’s it. Don’t read too much into it.

True. If anyone thinks Kansas is going down over this they are clueless. So stop the hypocrisy. Quit crowning the best cheater champion. Pay the players and/or dump the corrupt NCAA.

the Penn State fans' defense would comparable to the LSU fanbase reaction, too. No?

NO

Not even close.
And that type of ridiculous comment doesn’t deserve a response.

The FEDS also investigated it. People who want to use Cam when trying to prove something always leave that out.

I've noticed this is becoming a new favorite phrase among LSU fans on here

Not even trying to deny that they're cheating, just playing the victim card. "Well everybody else is doing it... Ignore the fact that our HC was taped on an FBI wiretap and the example that I'm using is a case where literally no evidence was ever found to back up the allegations made by the butthurt school that lost out on Cam... It's totally the same thing! We're not that bad"

I mentioned in a thread yesterday that Auburn had been investigated and cleared by both the FEDS and NCAA.....an LSU fan wanted a link proving it.

Bowl, I’ll speak for myself not other posters.
This is my point.
It’s not that we “were caught” BTW nothing has been proven.

I’m not saying we shouldn’t “get in trouble” because everybody else is doing it”.

The point is “selective prosecution/investigations/enforcement/etc.

Everybody knows that everybody is doing it.

I know it.
You know it.
The NCAA knows it.
The Dick Vitales know it.
ESPN knows it.

Everybody knows the big boys have been doing it.

Kentucky
Kansas
Duke
UNC
Just to name a few.

How can the NCAA only “go after” a few programs, when they know everybody is doing it.

If they want to take LSU down go ahead.
But they should take every program down that is involved.

There wouldn’t be enough teams to fill the 64 team tournament next year.

This is going to be fun to watch.

It’s gonna be more entertaining than March Madness itself.

Let's be honest. The only FBS programs who don't pay players are Army, Navy, and Air Force

Is that like "it's not the number of penalties but when they call them"?

LSU always the victim.

Once this whole thing crumbles and it’s obvious to the whole world players are getting paid everywhere, it all starts to fall apart.

I’m confused why all of the sudden people stop caring about CFB once players get paid. Don’t fans still have emotional ties to teams? Won’t they still carry on traditions that have been going for decades? Aren’t most CFB fans clamoring for players getting paid? If everybody is paying players and they choose to lie about that fact does it really effect the fan since they already know it goes on (according to you)?

quote:

We’re all sheep while the universities, networks, shoe companies, and pro leagues bilk us all and keep the pipeline of poor players flowing into the system.

So what you’re saying is universities profit. Networks profit. Shoe companies profit. Fans get the product they are willing to pay for. And we take poor players and pay them and feed them into a high paying career while getting a free education. You’re going to have to list the downside for me here.

The evidence was one former Moo State player asking another for cash. What did that have to do with Auburn? Absolutely nothing
