LSU and UT are obviously the top dogs going into the off-season but what about the rest of you?

Return almost everyone on defense and Enos was calling plays like a genius in the second half of the season.

Not confident at all.

Then again, Slocum's teams usually had horrible run-based offenses and incredibly strong defenses.

My senior year, we went 2-1 over a 3 game span in which we didn't score an offensive touchdown for 11 quarters.

Hopefully we score more than 4 offensive touchdowns in conference play next season.

Hallucinogens, mostly. Some bravado and puckish derring-do in the mix, but the bulk of my confidence is based on altered brain chemistry vastly improving my imagination.

From an oft criticized Les Miles basher/negatiger from fellow LSU fans and friends (people don't like a fan trying to be objective), I actually am confident in LSU's chances next year if Beckwith and White stay like people are saying. That would give us a nasty secondary with an improved front 7 depth wise, and one of the best defensive coordinator's in the country compared to a middle of the road guy we had last year. One more year for an offense that returns practically everyone that matters, not to mention a down year for the division, it seems to be the confluence of events that Les Miles needs to field a championship caliber team. But at this point it's foolish to bet against Saban.

I'm not at all confident. We will likely either be starting a Freshman QB or a more experience QB with a lot less talent. Our OL is not good. Our starting RB, Chubb, will coming off major knee surgery. Our best receiver, Mitchell, will be in the NFL. We have a mostly new and untested coaching staff.

LSU will be confident until we play Alabama. We all know what has happened the last five years, so no confidence there.

I'm highly confident. Kind of like Charlie Brown kicking that football.

Having a returning starter at QB who led the league in yards and touchdowns. The receiving corps will be stacked again. The defensive line will be deep and talented. Conner back in the secondary. Little at left tackle. The rest of the incoming recruiting class.

What worries me? The secondary outside of Conner and the offensive line outside of Little. I think the offensive line will be talented but how they gel as a unit will determine exactly how well our season goes.
