Baton Rouge leaves a lot to be desired but the LSU campus and Tiger Stadium are top notch.

Still nicer than the section 8 complexes all over BR tho.
Or, as they call them in Louisiana, “homes”.

Hell even I have to admit Oxford is nicer than BR. I left Kenner 15 years ago. Met a girl from Boise, ID and her job took us to Milwaukee. And trust me. Milwaukee is no prize either.

Admittedly, I know Oxford is a nice town. Other than that and the self entitlement of the people there, my question is what makes it so much better than most other college towns, specifically Baton Rouge? I know BR has its issues, but everything Oxford has to offer as far as shopping, food, extra curricular, etc.. Most college towns have just as much and/or more..
The place rocks and they treat other fan bases well. In fact one of the coolest venues and folks in the SEC. We were treated like Kings first time there and looking forward to returning next year.
To answer your question...don't be dicks and other schools will appreciate you.

Trolling? I will bite any way. Ive lived in both.
Oxford has great restaurants, college and upscale bars. Close to Memphis for flights/traveling. Low crime. Middle clas to upper class. Small town feel. Low crime. Focus on protecting property value. Good schools. Nice roads and highways. Snooty. Did i mention low crime?
Baton Rouge has nice parts too (Bocage, Old Goodwood, Highland areas). Good restaurants, but overall prefer the nicer ones of Oxford to those of Baton Rouge. Close to NOLA and airport. Crime. Less strict building regulations, has affected area around campus. Way more poverty, and cant really get away from it. Even in best neighborhoods, there are rough areas not far away. Lots of low income housing and crime adjacent to campus. Good private schools. Ive been to third world countries with better roads and infrastructure. Blight everywhere. Crime. More crime.
