Mizzou will be making there first trip to "The Swamp" this weekend and I was curious about what makes it so special. After you finish looking at the the image below it would seem that half of the stadium is empty. When filled with a bunch of reptiles it doesn't seem that daunting, and It would seem The Zou= The Swamp I think we need to re-rank the stadiums in the SEC. The Swamp isn't in the top 10 and "The Zou" moves into top 5

Playing at the Swamp is almost as bad as playing at Death Valley. You tigers haven't experienced anything like these venues. I'll enjoy the deer in the headlights look this weekend.

Missouri probably has the worst stadium in the SEC. Maybe better than Vandy's or Kentuckys because I honestly forgot what they look like.

I feel like we're traveling to low rents this week to play Kansas and will have a crowd of <50,000

Well it is getting a facelift and will seat at least 80,000 by the time it's finished and it's a bowl stadium which is why it looks small from above and it never has this many empty seats. We were in the top 25 in attendance and have 10,000-20,000 less seats then the top 5 in the SEC

Bad pic and you cant go by CBS views of the stadium 2 minutes before kickoff...those were usually taken 20-25 minutes ahead of broadcast and UF fans are getting their buzz on.

When you enter the Swamp...you see will that the playing field is quite a bit lower than your entrance.....because it was built 30 feet BELOW ground level and has intricate conduits draining water out underneath. Unlike most crappy stadiums the Swamp is built straight up, so you are on top of the field even in nosebleed seats.

There will be around 90,000 in the stands and when the crowd reaches fever pitch as the team comes out with the huge widescreen showing Gators in a swamp setting...you will realize you are in a house of horrors getting ready to be devoured.

Gators are gonna be a angry bunch saturday...it aint going to look pretty for Mizzou. Better check UTube videos to get anus properly prepared.

Since not many Gator fans are weighing I'll pinch hit.

I think it was Spurrier who named it that.
The playing field at the Swamp is actually dug into the ground.

It has a reputation for noise (lots of noise) and most teams playing afternoon games there aren't acclimated to the heat/humidity.

The last two seasons were somewhat anomalies (Meyer sans Tebow and Muschamp trying to fit a square spread into a pro-style O) but UF has an impressive home record.

Yeah well I'm not really that concerned we traveled to Texas 100,000+ and played in Arrowhead and that's the loudest stadium in the country Mizzou wins 20-16 and leaves The Swamp and a bunch of pissed off reptiles behind
