Jimbo will win a FNC before his contract runs out.

Sure. That clearly explains why LSU is hanging on with both hands to a basketball head coach that is on the FBI Most Wanted List.

Bryant was at A&M from 1954-1957, during which time he worked miracles.

Good writeup.

One more thing: In later years, Bryant attended a reunion of the Junction Boys and admitted he thought it was the worst mistake he'd ever made to put them through that. They gave him a ring they had crafted for themselves as a unique team of his.

According to his son, it was the only piece of jewelry he was wearing when he died.

It is why teams like Notre Dame were always hated. The media from large cities always sided with them when it came to selecting the national champion.

An Alabama fan is talking about LSU current basketball coach Will Wade in a topic about Texas A&M's football coach from 1939.

One who is hired after Saban retires.

Jimbo has to get a QB that is elite and if so they should be in great shape. Does he have one on his roster as of today?

We'll see soon.

Exactly. Alabama, for example, beating a really good team in a close game was seen as a bigger stumble than Notre Dame tying a really good team.

Now, for the record, there were some tremendous Notre Dame teams back in the day. I am not knocking them in that regard. But schools like Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State, USC, and the Ivy League schools always got the benefit of the doubt.

Some of these people need serious psychological help. The obsession has graduated from quaint to borderline unnerving.

Not a coach that totally destroyed Florida State's illustrious football program.

They gave the trophy to Notre Dame in 77 but yet lost to a 5-6 Ole Miss team.

We lost 13-9 to a Texas team that had Earl Campbell.

We had the biggest upset in bowl history and still ignored.

Bryant was hardly here long enough to pass that kind of judgment.

Why not? Saban won an NC at LSU in that time. How long did it take Urban to win an NCAA at Florida?

Forgive me if I don’t hold every coach to the standard of Nick Saban.

I mean Bear Bryant is one of only 2 or 3 other coaches who could be considered comparable
