So Carter goes out and buys him the most talented Sr laden roster in the country. Absolutely loaded to the gills with mercenaries. And he coaches his way to three close losses when he should have won all 3 of them. Legitimate bone headed coaching decisions that cost him a 12-0 season. 100% on him.
Then this year is basically a rebuilding year. Lots of Sophomores and Juniors. Replacing a lot of talented starters with unproven players. And it is without question the best coaching job of his career. About to be 11-1 and hosting a playoff game that will be the biggest sporting event in the history of the state.
And to even consider walking away from the cusp of that accomplishment at the 11th hour?
Whether he leaves or not. That's Irony.

If he ends up at LSU, I can't wait for the first time one of his 4th down attempts fails. LSU fans will angrily question decisions that don't even warrant questioning. Many fan bases are willing to put up with that, but LSU is not one of them and neither is Alabama for that matter.
As for Kiffin, very good coach and it's probably due to the lack of 'sure things' in modern cfb but everyone's trying to make him something he's not.

Good OC. But defense coaches are winning most of the championships these days.
I would hire him as OC for about $3 million , that is what he is worth.

Seems to be an extreme narcissist. He is good at his job but would throw any organization or person under the buss to advance his own ego.
Doing this to Ole Miss before the season is over is exhibit 23. He could have easily finished the season and obligations to Ole Miss THEN entertained career options. Given his demand he could have easily done this but chose to make it a circus.

I like him.
I think he's an exceptional coach, and the same type of people that dislike him are akin to the loonatics on the left in politics that can't separate their feelings from facts.
