Yes it is a double standard, but who is the idiot?

There was a time in the USA where kids had a chance to actually be kids before having to grow up and become responsible adults. Now kids in 1st grade are pulling knives and trying to rape classmates because they have access far to young to things they had no access to in the past.

so I take back what I said about the early 90's, the early 90's were miniskirts that short without the cloth between their legs

so the early 90's were more risqué than today's "rompers"

with the mini skirt, you were almost to home plate just by standing near them

I agree. The fashion sense of American ladies today is way over the top. There is a line between looking sexy and looking like a whore. It's been crossed.

short rompers on girls go back to the early 90's

Yes, and people have been wearing boots for centuries. I didn't suggest that boots and rompers are new. I said that's what "everyone is wearing to the game" lately.

I think it can be pretty directly linked to the rise of Instagram.

Gameday is a photo-op now, and sexier clothes get more likes.

It's also a big reason why its damn near impossible to keep a full student section past half-time these days. Show up, get your pic in the stands, head out.

Almost 70 years ago my dad was assaulted on a school bus. Had a 50s era glass jar shattered on his head, by someone twice his age. Shitty people have always been doing shitty things.

We've always had problems keeping our student section full. The Grove is tempting.

How does this make them hoes? A little dumb for a football game imo but some of y’all need to grow up.

When I posted that pic, I was explaining what a romper was. I certainly did not mean to call those girls hoes for wearing them. That said, 20 yr old me would make a beeline for the one on the left due to perceived tendencies.

I understand, I went to State during Croom, a root canal would have been tempting.

They were packed in there for our opener, which is nice to see. I don't blame them for leaving at halftime of a 1 PM game against Mercer, though.

Your example is arse and has nothing to do with this conversation, so move along.

From a guy that also posted this gem that completely PROVES my point.

I'm sorry but remember when we had slavery in the US and it was totally okay just because it was legal? Where people were deemed inhuman and degraded to property?

You see, little fella, this was in fact COMPLETELY WRONG AND IMMORAL. But, "pop culture" dictated that it was ok, so people went along with it. Talk about a self-own!

I don't really have an issue there. State students have been pretty solid this year, too. There were some noticeable gaps in the stands after halftime last weekend, but not as bad as years past. At least they showed up, which is more than I can say for the East Side of our stadium.

Yep. It's funny that his counterpoint actually proved your point, and he didn't get it.

I also don't think he realizes slavery wasn't "totally okay." The deadliest war in US history was fought over this issue and still looms large in our national conscience today (for better or worse).

It’s a reflection of the rest of society. The way people dress, TV, movies, advertising, and a lot of things in public life are all basically pornographic now. Even in church, men dress more slovenly and there are more than a few women that think they are at the club.
