They have good teams. Beating bad teams on the road is tough but beating good teams on the road is very VERY tough.

Auburn has been good or great most of Bruce Pearl's tenure

The crowd.

I don't think so. We are pooling all our ref money for football season when we play Arkansas.

The building gets loud and the students are right on top of the court. 28 in a row at home.

For a moment I thought you were referring to football games at Jordan-Hare.

definitely not this

I think this, combined with players shooting better at home v road.

ETA: just checked shooting splits and there doesn’t seem to be much difference shooting (or with free throws). Only noticeable difference I’ve seen so far is steals and blocks go up at home v road/neutral. Because we aren’t a good shooting team, creating more possessions with steals and blocks is important for this team. But that difference between home v away is probably the result of playing weak teams at home in the non-conference schedule.

The crowd. Their stadium holds noise in very well.

Small but intimate home arena that holds all of its noise. Also, as someone else pointed out, it’s very very difficult to beat good teams on the road, and Auburn has been a top basketball program in the SEC for the last five years, with the exception of 2021.

Auburn has a strong fanbase that always shows up. Was very impressed with its crowd at the football games this season, even when Auburn was struggling.
