That’s a winning trend. The talent is starting to stack up.
Yet Alabama signing top three classes is a downward trend.

The football program over the last 5 seasons is the worst stretch since before WWII. So you could say the state of the football program is dismal. I don’t know what to make of Freeze; his whole tenure here has been bewildering to say the least.

Damn! Auburn has a 4 year losing record streak? I never thought I would ever witness that since I've started watching SEC football in the late 70's.

Did anyone else get more than two wins against Bama in that same stretch?
Ole Miss: 2-9
LSU: 2-9
Clemson: 2-2
Michigan: 2-1
Oklahoma: 1-1
Tennessee: 2-9
answer: no

I'm not sure, but probably no one got more wins against us......plus Auburn has made it a priority to recruit players from our state.
Those type of players play the hardest and want the win more than most.
It's not bad talent acquisition if your main goal is to upset your in state rival.

Eventually we have to get into playoff, or Coach Hugh Freeze will be bought out.
It is a results oriented job.
Get results, or get bought out.

Auburn is gonna beat either bama or UGA this year. Not sure which but one is happening
Will Auburn lose to one that shouldn't? Like Mizzou?

Do you know how trends work?

Mizzou and Drinkwitz made sure it continued the trend for Auburn.

Just looking for some kind of winning trajectory before we start expecting championships fam.

As someone else said, it will come down to QB. They “should” have won 3, and really 4 games last year if not for QB play. As long as I can remember Auburn football has been somewhat bipolar. Very good for a time, then very bad for a time. We are in the bad. I’m hoping for good to come

But from a fans perspective, how y’all feel about the football program currently?
You know... you can always post this in the Bama forum... That's all that are on this thread. I mean...

The problem is us Auburn fans were in denial of how bad of shape the team was in from an overall talent standpoint. It was no better than a mid-tier C-USA team.
Freeze has had to burn down the fields to re-grow the crops. Now if you look around, the talent is in the top half of the league again. Now you win some games and push forward.

What is the state of Auburns football program?
Posted on 4/5/25 at 1:15 am to BornAgain
That program is pure shite.
Posted on 4/5/25 at 2:12 am to paperwasp
Auburn is trending up while bama is trending down (both football and basketball)…

I have to remind our fans of how much we actually sucked at football for the last 15 years.
A couple of decent years surrounded by lots of suck...

Downvoter still can't accept the fact
