So because GoldenDawg says LSU will continue to do stupid shite, based on his terms, somehow the SEC will ultimately prevail in its lawsuit
Do not underestimate the ability of LSU to do stupid shite.

Now the Louisiana AG is laying out the case in public for what would come next and why the SEC is in trouble. It has been operating in secret in opposition to its bylaws in an attempt to harm LSU. And, it has done this without any real way of showing what LSU has done being any different than what other member institutions have done.
That was a not so subtle warning.
These people have gone to war against an elected official whose job it is to investigate and prosecute criminal activity. Or to initiate civil actions on behalf of the state and its subdivisions. They had better be careful.

They like saying someone didn't steal yourself because you caught them in the process and made them leave everything.
There was no violation against any enforceable rule. If LSU football made preparations to add these players, that is no different than Nate Oats, Chris Beard or Will Wade doing the same thing.

I'm seeing college sports turn to shite and evidence conferences may soon leave the NCAA.
I agree with you. I don’t like it either actually. I hate the portal and NIL bullshite and thought all the extra eligibility stuff from COVID got out of hand. Pavia and Chambliss playing also. College sports are a disaster right now.
I just think it’s bizarre the SEC all of a sudden decided to draw an extremely arbitrary line about a kid getting $190 in gas money to rehab with the Saints, after a sloppy one-off NCAA rule change made after he went pro. Now you have the SEC somehow trying to contort itself into a position that LA is somehow compelling the league to keep a member institution. Meanwhile it’s perfectly fine players are getting 7 figure NIL deals. It’s all crazy.

What is the SEC’s strategy in prolonging the lawsuit against LSU?
They know theyre fricked, will wait for a judge to tell them to get fricked, and will say "well we dont agree with the judgement"
They have no legal bearing to do what theyre trying to do. Sankey got caught and will likely "retire" by the end of next year.

LSU planned on doing so until the lawsuit was filed. If the SEC hadn't acted, LSU would have done so and the flood gates would have been opened.
Not sure why LSU fans act like the SEC filed after the fact, they did not.
The lawsuit is dumb and didn't stop anything. It's just theater and a waste of time/resources.
The threat of LSU losing media money and the CFP committee leaving them out is what actually stopped LSU.

The league’s case seems to rest on LA compelling the SEC to associate with LSU… except that never happened and the SEC has the right to vote out a member institution which LA has not disputed. The league of course declined to do so. It’s a bizarre argument.
The conference knows it has the right to expel LSU but they want assurances that they'll be protected if they do.
The conference is scared that if they eject LSU, that LSU will come after them for damages (which LSU would). LSU would also likely claim collusion, discrimination, and anything else they could throw against the wall, and would likely be successful with some of it.
Plus the State would sue the conference and it'd be a mess.
Per the bylaws, the conference can eject anyone at any time, however now that players are paid and all of these financial partnerships exist, that changes the dynamic quite a bit.

It’s just a dick measuring contest between LSU and Sankey, who has a personal grudge against us.

They want LSU to apologize and bend the knee
F em.
Is the conference ready to kick out LSU for not apologizing and promising to be good little boot lickers?
Doesn’t sound like good business to me, but hey I’m sure Clemson or FSU will love getting their asses kicked every year in every sport.

I think LSU is going to continue to do stupid shite.
The SEC is going to have to amend their complaint (again) because the main thing they are seeking from the court is an injunction against LSU to prevent LSU from blocking a specific, planned vote to expel that the SEC states in their pleading will occur on September 10.
Well September 10 has come anc gone and LSU didn't do anything to block the vote that never happened.
