Yeah, I like how he thinks he would take a demotion + a substantial pay cut to be the OC at LSU.

If he every flunked out at HC, would it be better for him to get a HC gig at a lower school with little pay or head up an OC job for 2 + years at a big school? Seems like Holgerson will be left with that option if he craps out again this year.

Kliff is one of the top young coaches in the country and will become an elite coach. The dude has the it factor. Can call a beautiful offense, recruit with the best. He will have Texas Tech as the number 2 program in Texas starting next year, just behind U of Texas.

When Sumlin goes to the NFL in a few years, Kliff will come back to College Station as HC. Aggie pockets are deeper than Tard pockets.

Texas Tech had an overrated year last year.

They won their first 7 games, all wins against teams with losing records. They needed ref help to beat TCU at home in that stretch

Lost their next 5, 4 of which were blowout losses.

They play in the Holiday Bowl against a dejected Arizona State team that lost at home for a chance to go to the Rose Bowl and win the Pac-12.

8-5 isn't bad, but 4 blowout losses and only one win over a team with a winning record isn't amazing.

I think it was good for the talent level and their revolving door at QB. The question is if he can get the kind of talent to make a difference to go to Lubbock.

I agree but until the Holiday Bowl win they had lost 5 straight and lost all the momentum they had at the beginning of the year, and people realized the 7 wins were over bad teams.

I think too many people are overreacting about their season, it was an 8 win season but nothing special. Too many people act like Kingsbury led them to a Big 12 title.
