Careful, lobotomy's rectum stretches out and gets irritated when you talk about Mizzou and aTm in the same topic.

We're sharing misery this year. At least you're only in year 1.

They should. A&M could get Tx back on thanksgiving and give us Arky back on that friday.
But if we don't play LSU our last game how are we supposed to influence their coaching decisions?

Doubt that too many Big 12 administrations particularly care for A&M or Mizzou (or Nebraska and Colorado) since those schools leaving nearly led to the entire conference disbanding.
As far as I know, none of those 4 former Big 12 schools have played regular season games against any Big 12 teams since leaving the conference. So sure seems as if its possible that there might be some bad blood there. Although Colorado has TCU scheduled in 2022 and 2023 (though TCU is only in the Big 12 because of other schools leaving) and they have K-State scheduled in 2027 and 2028

By playing LSU in week 4 instead

keeping spewing that bullshite.

What part of that was bullshite?
The part where we left the Big 12 for the SEC?
No, that happened.
The part where we told your AD that we would make room on the schedule to continue to play the game?
No, that happened too.
Was it the part where Texas decided to be little bitches and not play us?
Hmm, that one also happened.
Not seeing the bullshite. Enlighten me whorn.
ETA: That's what I thought bitch. I wonder how Texas will spin it this year when the Texas Bowl tries to invite us both and your AD gets TCU to fill in for you.

By asking "why won't A&M and Mizzou play their rivals" To me that indicates that they don't want to play their rivals
That's fair. I worded the title badly.
I meant to ask why neither don't play the other, if that makes sense.

Curiosity? Mizzou just so happened went through the same process and also doesn't play Kansas anymore, so I felt it appropriate to include Missouri.

Well the tldr for Missouri kansas is they were mad that missouri left the big 12 and refused to continue the rivalry they said that if missouri wants to maintain the rivalry in all sports it needs to stay in the big 12. Mizzou has reached out to them to continue it but they are not ready.

Bad blood?
Just a bit, yes.

I have absolutely no inside information, but I think the first thing that has to happen is A&M facing Texas in a semi-important bowl (so likely not this year

The whole bad blood thing with A&M runs deep & involves a lot of things.
A lot of the people in academic leadership, that don't give two ****s about football, felt betrayed that A&M would leave an important affiliation with Texas after Texas, not all that long ago, bent over backwards to help get A&M into the AAU.
Also, the people who do care about sports were VERY pissed that, when it looked like Texas might break out on its own in regards to conference affiliation years ago, the door was slammed by politicians who wanted the key Texas schools to be in the same conference. When the Big 12 does finally blow up, and Texas goes off on its own to the Big 10, and Texas Tech and Baylor are left twisting in the wind, this decision to allow A&M to leave will come back to bite those same politicians.
Texas hasn't been all that anxious to play A&M on the field for multiple reasons; we have sucked recently & would get destroyed, we don't want to give A&M another in-state game for recruiting and a lot of people feel A&M is a team we've always dominated and OU is the only rivalry that matters.
Some day, Texas and A&M will meet in a bowl game. It will have a lot of build-up, the game won't match the hype, and eventually people getting worked up over these 2 schools playing each other will fade away.

They're still butt hurt over us moving on up to a dee-luxe apartment in the sky.

MIZZOU may have struggled to beat KU the past 2 years, probably best to leave that rivalry in the past due to the historical nature of the ingrained hate......, yeah it's still simmering.

Honestly, I think it's probably a good thing the rivalry ended for awhile. Things were getting bad. I saw more fights at Arrowhead than I've seen the rest of my life combined. One game, we had a bunch of beer poured on us multiple times for no reason and then the cops came and tried to kick US out until some other Mizzou fans called the dude out for lying. Good times

alarms were raised when ESPN programming vice president Dave Brown said in a recent Austin radio interview that programmers would target contests — including one in Scottsdale, Ariz. — in which Texas recruits were playing.
From a USA Today article dated July 25, 2011.
THIS is why we left. When Dave Brown said that the Longhorn Network would broadcast high school football games specifically focusing on players committed to them, including Connor Brewer, the recruit he was referencing from Scottsdale, AZ, that was the final straw.
The UIL contract with Fox ends in 2017. ESPN was trying to negotiate under the table to get all Texas High School Football under the purview of the Longhorn Network when Brown arrogantly got caught.

In my lifetime, A&M leads the series 17-16. (1978-present)
In that same timespan, Oklahoma leads the series with you 20-18.
That's not "dominating" anyone.

KU got butt hurt
They said they would never play Missouri. MU have called several times and left KU and open ended invitation.
KU is butt hurt and still sore.
