65-75% completion
3 TD/1 INT
Around 2700-3300 passing yds
around 800-1200 running yds
That would be a sweet year no matter what side of the scale he landed.

Obviously you don't feel confident. Make it a mil and you got yourself a bet.

somewhere around there, Vol has a range

haha I didn't realize 70% was the record. I just extrapolated his improvement over the past 2 years. But let the record show I am changing my range from 65%-75% completion down to 62%-67%

I'm dropping by to say Dobbs is probably the first D1 QB that is too ugly to muster a blowjob on a bi-daily basis..
I can't comment on his QB play since I watch the 2 TN teams the least out of the SEC.

Ok, I'll take 67% or under for $100

He's smart as hell and the starting QB for a SEC team. I bet he destroys pussy not matter how ugly he is.

He looks like a burn victim from the war.

Here is my opinion:
He was thrown into games as a true freshman/sophomore and looked more than competent behind a terrible O line (especially last year), and was able to move the ball with his arm and with his feet when the pocket broke down, which was often.
He has a live arm, good feet, and good pocket presence. In addition, he seems to be a high character young man who's carrying a tough class load on top of football.
My only knock on him is that he sometimes forces passes, which isn't out of the norm for young QBs. People rave about him because he has the tools and is expected to naturally progress to better decision making/more command of the offense.

His completion percentage is 63% which is good but not great. Where is all the hype coming from for this guy? His numbers are mediocre to bad. To put it into perspective, Anthony Jennings threw 11 touchdowns to 7 interceptions.

I have only seen Dobbs play in 2 games. Those were both against Mizzou. He didn't look good at all but to be fair to him our D was pretty good for both of those. Our DEs had no problem tracking him down so I'm not sure his speed is all that great.
I'm sure he'll improve each year like most kids do.

I agree with everything but the pocket presence business. The Vols need to keep him healthy, at least through October. The better QB is Dormandy. That guy can be really good with a little experience and the UT receiving corp. I would rather face a duck and dance Dobbs any day.

Awesome video.
The reason he is talked up aren't his stats from last year it is more his character mixed with this potential.
He obviously was not a finished product last year, thus the reason the coaches were trying to redshirt him.
From those at the Manning QB camp and the Elite 11 camp they all say his throwing game has vastly improved.
Combine that with the hope that our OL will improve somewhat and our RB's and WR's are only even more deadly. Many expect a big year from him.
Will he have Peyton Manning or Aaron Rogers type throw statistics or NFL potential? No. But he has a chance to be a really great college QB that can get TN a lot of W's which is all that really matters right?
Go Vols!
