I admit the schedule turned out to be a bit weak this year, but if we keep the exact same schedule for several seasons it could suddenly turn into the opposite.
Consider we never play FCS and always try to schedule a prominent helmet school as our premier OOC, next year that is tOSU. Then imagine Cowbell improves through the portal,
BloU finally finds an offense,
Pavia comes back at Vandy,
a pissed off Georgia that didn't have the previous season they wanted,
Florida is near full strength with an experienced Lagway,
Piggy gets a new coaching staff which creates portal/recruiting excitement,
aggy finally lives up to what they think they are,
and Stoops gets things rolling and puts a better product on the field.
Of course it's not likely all of those things happen in the same year, but some certainly will...and we play Georgia in Athens and Florida in Gainesville next year, and we also get the brain shattering cowbells throughout the game as well. So what is now considered a "soft" schedule could easily become above average. Oh, and no other team has 3 true rivalry games on their schedule every year, and we all know how those things can go.

What about Ugly UT and their OOC, AFTER ALL that is all each school has any selection over.
UTEP, Kent State, Chattanooga
World beaters schedule, really, I mean no defending national champs or anything near that. Still Tennessee maybe doing the best they can.

quote:They don't play an SEC schedule and they didn't lose 3, that's not how CFB works. The SEC sent the best they had available last year and it wasn't good enough.
Michigan is weak and overrated every year. Bama was the only real team they played last year. Michigan would have at least 3 losses last year if they played a SEC schedule.
Oh, and according to this board an "SEC schedule" doesn't count unless you play "Bama, Georgia, LSU and whoever else is the hot team in any given year. With 16 teams not everyone is going to have a schedule of equal strength, and someone's weak schedule could turn out to be not so weak in any given year. Who predicted the rise of Vandy this year? Absolutely nobody, that's who...but their w/l record still doesn't reflect how hard they've played everyone. (And I still can't figure out how G-state and Mizzery beat them)

Only 5 SEC schools voted for the 9 game conference schedule, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Missouri, and A&M. The schedules would have been more equitable for all 16 schools. Several schools got lighter schedules, Missouri, A&M, for example. The 9 no votes have only themselves to blame.

Wrong. The schools against 9 game schedule were reported to be
Mississippi State, Kentucky, Auburn and Tennessee

AP voters votes. That’s their biggest win so far.

That’s what I’ve noticed as well. And if teams can’t stop the short stuff and sell out to try and stop it, that’s when they go over the top for big plays.
Georgia was getting to Ewers and all over their short passes like white on rice. Texas was never able to get their offense rolling because of it.
It seems simple to stop their offense, but you have to have the dudes. If you don’t, they’ll tear you up.
QE moved a lot better than he has in over a month. He looks healthy again.

Your OOC games should be embarrassing to all you piglets, but it doesn't. It's easier to simply sayTexas' schedule is the easiest.
Pigs are about to find out how easy Texas truly is in Fagetteville.
