It seems like the sec has just decided that false starting is allowed unless it’s a wr or tight end.

Auburns right guard looked like he false started 5 times on the final drive, state had multiple not called, and it’s been all season.

The LSU guards are such poo that even letting them false starting doesn’t stop them from being turnstiles

There have been bad calls in the past, but this year is on average the worst that I can remember officiating across CFB.

It has been consistently terrible. Something has to change.

Feel like the letting false starts go is frustrating because it’s one of the few penalties that doesn’t have a ton of judgement to it. Holding or pi at least has a lot of judgement.

False starts are mostly clean other than if the d caused it. This feels like just trying to help the offense even more which is insane since they already get every rule favor

AU's OL were constantly false starting with no calls, but that isn't why AU won.

I used auburn mainly because I watched the last drive and it kept happening but they aren’t the only ones.

It’s either the refs have become even worse or they aren’t trying to call it

I'll add illegal formation. Tackles line up 1.5-2 yards off the line and in some games it's called while others it's ignored.

They called one on us yesterday when nobody except the defense moved.

The state of officiating has been epic shite in college this year.

That started with the chiefs, the nfl was allowing their RT to line up like that and then also false start and now it’s moved to the sec.

Those type of penalties being ignored are really frustrating

I rewatched a few of those plays because it certainly looked like it to me. But the left side of the line was moving with the ball. We were 100% telling our snap count with the guard’s right hand. As soon as it went down, the ball was snapped.

I’m surprised Georgia’s d line wasn’t able to jump the snap count.

It wasn’t the left side of your line that was moving, the right guard is the main one I noticed, wasn’t really picking on Auburn though because it has happened all year every team and actually really even.

Conference officials need to be abolished and really they need to be full time employees paid well, under scrutiny for any gambling connections and trained better. If we are going to all spend 30 -50 million for rosters and 60-100 for coaches we should have better good top level officiating. The sport is on life support and I don’t blame NIL since we all know guys were being paid, I don’t blame the free for all transfer portal either and a few common sense things and fixing the calendar fixes that.

I think the true problem is the dumb conference expansion, the playoff expansion and the explosion of how easy it is to bet on games. Then you have part time refs that are regional which is dumb.

Every conference needs to be back at 12 and regional, refs should be national full time, replay should be mandated that if you want your conference in the playoffs you have transparent review process.

The sport could use clarity and transparency to fix it.
