It will suck for his son since he's the starting QB at the HS there in Oxford. I'm sure he's living like a king at that HS. But such is the life of a coach's son.

Jon Gruden has said that he would love to coach in the SEC. I could see LSU or Florida going after someone like him. He won a super bowl in the NFL and I think he could connect with young men.

How old is the ol' Ball Coach? An interim like that could keep a recruiting class together for the wait though I know he's to old to be a long term solution. Kirby v. Spurrier would be amazing next week

Only problem with that is that December 5-18 is prime recruiting time... so you need to have a coach in place for that... and if Ole Miss makes the playoffs, Lane would have to either leave Ole Miss before the playoffs or miss out on recruiting for his new time.
To sum up... he ain't going anywhere. He just isn't.
