Not remotely possible. Hes not in the same stratosphere as Saban.

LSU fan playbook - over exaggerate any and all positives towards LSU and all negatives towards other teams in the off season. Tell everyone you are coming, they are scared, melting and coping.
Enter the season over-ranked, proceed to lose 3 or 4 regular season games and then start nut riding whatever teams have unexpected success against the actual good teams.
Rinse and repeat.

Why don't we let the man coach a game or two, maybe even three or more before we start comparing him to Saban

What if Kiffin at LSU = Saban at Alabama?
You should expect 7-6 year one, but year 2 should get things rolling.

I think Kiffin will have success at LSU. Expect him and LSU to be a solid contender every year.
Which will be good for SEC football.
Only time will tell if he establishes dominance like Saban or Kirby. But enjoy the ride.

Saban was a different breed. I could be wrong but kiffin doesn’t seem like the kinda guy that would sacrifice his quality of life to be the goat. Bc that’s what it basically takes to do what saban did.

If Kiffin goes on a generational run
While I would stop short of saying this is impossible, I think is very highly unlikely that any coach, at any program, ever again goes on a run like Saban at Bama from 2009-2020. The portal and NIL do not allow for stacking talent anymore and injuries are gonna be harder to overcome because of it.

We will never see that again BECAUSE of NIL. Saban was able to stockpile 5* talent across his roster with no worries of kids leaving as easily. Not to say there cant be huge success, there is just no way i see it being as consistent. Only time will tell though.

If you mean he will equal Saban in terms of how crazy the board is about him at any given time about any given thing, then maybe. If you are talking about football results, then no way. One of Saban's secrets to long term success was being so disciplined that he would not let a natty go to his head, or the team's, so they wouldn't let up and could win another one. I don't think Lane has that kind of discipline, but we'll see.

Maybe Kiffin is the Saban of the NIL era?

Nick Saban at LSU couldn’t match Nick Saban at Alabama.
LSU Nick Saban: 48-16, 75 % winning percentage, 4 of 5 seasons he had 3 or more losses.
Alabama Nick Saban: 201-29, 89 % winning percentage, 2 of 17 seasons he had 3 or more losses.
LSU Nick Saban: 48-16, 75 % winning percentage, 4 of 5 seasons he had 3 or more losses.
Alabama Nick Saban: 201-29, 89 % winning percentage, 2 of 17 seasons he had 3 or more losses.

Saban's run was predicated upon discipline, something Lane has not displayed in great abundance.
Perhaps we should wait until he actually coaches a game for LSU before you anoint him the Second Coming.
