Auburns top 7 players are all seniors or grad players. Average age of the team is 23. All starters are between 23 and 25. Almost the same age as several NBA teams. Lots of difference in a 23 year old and a 18-20 year old

While true, are you attempting to imply that the other SEC teams don't have any players older than 20?

This is incorrect.

You’re right- they’re actually older than some NBA teams. I hope they can still get their social security when they’re off playing in europe next year .

Bama has four 23 year old starters.

Actually his talent at Ole Miss is underrated. You don’t get to the SS without talent. Period! Exclamation point

What would he do with great players? Probably underachieve. Currently he has a group of good talented players who have good chemistry and play as unit above their individual parts. That is a TEAM.

So enjoy this ride right now and right here. It is not guaranteed to be repeated next year. Even with great players on the roster.

Fair enough. Chris Beard was who I wanted Kentucky to hire. Right up there with Pearl.

Beard can absolutely win a championship somewhere with the right roster. I don’t enjoy watching his brand of basketball, but it’s certainly effective particularly depending on what the officials allow. In some ways I view him as the other side of the Nate Oats coin where Oats lives on offense and Beard defense so i look forward to watching them matchup.

I actually don’t think he wants or would benefit from a roster of 4-5* kids, he needs 3-4 system starters who are bought in and then maybe you add a superstar or two into that mix who can give you baskets against the elite teams in the tournament and that’s his path.

But no one is winning a championship without a primary scorer or two because the grind it out approach can easily fail if the officials tighten up calls for grabs and hand checks in the E8 and beyond as you sometimes see.
