The thing that is dumb is somehow that is carrying over to two years later.
If y’all had beaten Clemson or bama (on either shot) I would get it. It just seems strange that uga has gotten placed on this mantle with minimal skins on the wall. To quote Desmond on game day yesterday “it’s bama and Georgia and everyone else in the sec”
In the end all this will be sorted out but to me it’s strange

No dumber than LSU beating a different UGA team last year having any weight this year.
UGA gets publicity because of the recruiting and Kirby continuing to gain experience as a coach. We look every bit like an Alabama in person and a lot of times even play like one. The problem has been the lack of consistency both in attitude and playcalling which should only improve as the program continues to grow and develop under Smart.
That’s where all the optimism comes from. Past results don’t guarantee future earnings

Yes I agree.
LSU has beaten a top 10 Texas team on the road now though. Ou beat a decent Houston team. Auburn has beaten an Oregon team that was projected to win the pac 12.
The argument for uga being where they are is because of the previous two seasons.
