You read where I posted about Ole Miss people being snobs, elitists, etc?
Check this out. This is the mindset of Ole Miss people. Everyone should read this to understand who Ole Miss really is.

I've got no rebuttal for that one. That article is down right embarsssing and why I do hate some of our fanbase. It's actually how I found these boards, I was sick of reading similar posts and arguing with idiots on the Ole Miss Spirit.

I think the Jose canseco level cheating freeze has done cancels out any head start Mullen had

While recruiting the 5stars and giving compensation, he has failed to comprehend the team needs. Paying for top ranked guys dosnt help anything when they are standing beside 2 star guys on the practice field. The gap between their prize horses and the practice mules are too great. In order to have a balanced SEC team, you must be at least 2 deep with 3stars or more in every position.
I disagree, I think Freeze has become a classic 'star chaser'. Look back at their last few classes and see how many highly ranked WRs and TEs they are taking. They are loaded at skill positions.
Unfortunately for them, SEC games are won in the trenches. They have not recruited depth at OL or DL/LB.

Beaten Saban twice in a row.

They're a much better football team since Freeze took over, there's no denying that. They lack depth this year, which is unfortunate, because their starters are just as good as anyone in the nation. I've enjoyed watching OM the past couple years.

Sounds like Les Miles, minus a quarterback.

Go to any MSU board and compare it to an Ole Miss board for number of threads dedicated towards the other school. It's basically a 2 to 1 ratio of State fans obsessing on Ole Miss.

Its prob closer to 3-to-1 but whos counting...

Was giving them the benefit of the doubt bro.

What you fail to realize is that he inherited a team that was 0-8 in the SEC in 2011 and 0-14 in their last 14 SEC games before he got to Ole Miss. So the fact that he's 18-19 in the SEC is actually no small feat considering the West has been the best division in football probably as long as he has been there. So comparing teams over that same time frame isn't really apples to apples.

Besides Saban, I think most SEC coaches have around a .500 SEC winning record or worse.
I don't know if you know this or not, but the SEC and especially the SEC West is fricking tough.
18-19 not bad.
well given two of the most successful coaches were fired or retired in the last year (i'll include them since they coached during Ole Miss' run)
From 2012-present:
Malzahn is 18-12 (.600)
Miles was 15-11 (.577)
Richt was 23-9 (.719)
Spurrier was 15-13 (.536)
Sumlin is 21-17 (.553)
McElwain is 11-3 (.786)
Muschamp is 17-14 (.548)
*Orgeron is 2-1 (.667)
Freeze is 18-19 (.486)
So, including Saban, half the HCs in the SEC have had better than a .500 record. Three SEC coaches lost their jobs based on those records, and Ole Miss praised pretty significantly worse success. Yes the SECW is difficult. However, since 2012, Ole Miss only has a better SEC record than Arkansas over that stretch. It's the credence given to Hugh Freeze that is being addressed. He has been surpassed by all his piers except for Bret Bielema in the SECW.

He's had 4 years to accumulate depth. That's on him if he still doesn't have it. He rested his success on one big signing class and a couple of JUCO QBs. His failure to recruit defensive depth and develop a running game is why Ole Miss is where they are.

I think Freeze has the complete support of probably 95 percent of our fanbase, but he does have some adjustments and tough decisions to make in the next few weeks and months.
OM has definitely had a few key recruiting misses under Freeze, no doubt. There have also been like 2 or 3 monumental moments or plays (see Treadwell breaking his leg as he's crossing the goal line that would have beaten Auburn two years ago, the Arkansas 4th and 25 that kept us out of the SEC Championship game last year and fast forward to the current situation with Kelly and the boatload of other starters lost for the season) that have abruptly flipped the script. We do still struggle with depth and that's on the current staff. We gotta do something about our defensive coaches and get depth. Until those two issues are resolved we are going to be hit and miss at best.

No troll. Unbelievably bad luck on both of those

I'm confused....typically, you're beating the horse about how we're just little ole miss and need to remember our place but now you're trashing freeze for us not having comparable depth as bama and lsu.
I'm starting to believe you just like to argue for the sake of arguing.

If nothing else, he's absolutely rustled a bunch of muthafricks who doggedly claim not to care about Ole Piss.
