My expectation is probably not and an ever changing, goal post moving, effort will begin.

Mighty BOLD talk for a shorthorn on a bye week. You will have plenty of opportunities to prove your manhood on the field. Around here nobody cares about your tough talk.

I have a feeling Georgia is going to raw dog them, the game wont even be close. Tejas is riding high on their weak schedule, Georgia is now battle tested and knows how to fight for 2 quarters.

Agreed. Georgia gave y’all a 28 point head start and 4 turnovers in Tuscaloosa, yet still managed to make it a 1 score game… then again I think that speaks more about Alabama than Georgia.

Dude why would you care? You are talking about the possibility of Texas having an undefeated regular season, being the #1 team in the country and you are worried about what other fan bases are going to think? This is why people think that y'all are soft.

Aggies might be be tougher than LSU and OM

I think aTm is a tough game for a lot of teams but not with Texas offense. I just don’t see aTm being able to keep up. Emotion may carry them the first half but Texas will pull away. I know little about that rivalry other than what I read here but I think aTm may come out tight as well because I think a big reason why they came to SEC was to get out from under Texas shadow not that they’re scared to play Texas but let’s be honest Texas was always going to get the lion share of the recruits in Texas. Going to the sec helped mitigate that to an extent. They’re going to want to win that game badly. I don’t think you can beat Texas coming in tight. Have to be loose and let it fly.

The favorite usually wins this game, despite the popular fan copium that "it's a rivalry game and anything can happen".

Completely off topic, but are you worried about a trap game this week? Coming off the Georgia hangover and playing a sneaky good Vandy team could be closer than people think. I don’t think Bama loses either way, but it could be close if they sleep walk into it.

Do you trust DeBoer to have the team focused and ready?

I mean, I would would. 31-3 as a power 4 head coach with winning records over Sark, Smart, & Lanning is unquestionable.

Yes. I think Bama wins but would not be surprised if Andy keeps it close. It’s at Vanderbilt and if was a betting man I’d take Vanderbilt and the points. Plus Bama had several key players go down in the Georgia game and we don’t know the extent of their injuries. Tim Keenan, Kendrick Law are two that stick out to me.

aggy is scared to play Texas as they know what's going to happen. Nice for Texas to play first game in Kyle field since aggy fleeing. Texas has a winning record there and will carry on from 2011 game.
Texas all time record vs. Aggy, 76-37-5

I mean this won't happen but the possibility of this type of three or more way tie is an obvious problem. The highest ranked two teams can play in the CCG but the other two would be screwed (deserve co championships frankly)

It's weird that in the divisional system you would have "co-champs" - though most teams never really claim them, they do show up on things like their Wiki pages. One example is in 2013, Auburn and Alabama are SEC West "co-champs" because both finished with the same record. The representative for the division is determined by the tie-breaker method, but everyone with the same record in the SEC play is "co-champs". It's weird, I know, but still. Of course it also means that the "co-champ" could have a better winning percentage against SEC opponents if the representing co-champ loses their SECCG appearance.

In the new system I presume every team that finishes tied for the #1 spot is a "co-champ"? It makes less sense though because what happens if you have three teams tie for #2 with a clear #1? One #2 team goes, and if they win, do you have just that team as the SEC Champ? Is there a regular season champ and a SECCG champ, like how basketball and baseball have regular season and tournament champs (but really doesn't work because only two teams play in the post season for the conference title)?

It's messy. It'd be better if we played a full SEC schedule (13 games). Maybe have every team open against a P5 OOC opponent, but damn that'd be a 14-game regular season. Add on SECCG, and up to 3 possible playoff games (presuming the loser of the SECCG still makes the playoffs) and that'd be an 18-game season (17 for the SEC Champ).

Just goes to show you:

Texas ruins everything

I think the team is likely pissed off at the way the game ended. I would be more worried if the starters had been dancing on the sideline in the 4th

Well yeah but when the tie breaker is a head to head it works itself out and frankly the losing team doesn't have a legitimate claim.

Multiple (3 or 4) undefeated is a different category of problem

We won't get any help

As far as SEC scheduling goes, you got the easiest one imaginable. You play all the bad teams, and you get the couple of good ones at home or on a neutral site. At Aggy is your toughest road game. You'v e already gotten all the help you should need.

I'm already wondering what the crafty explanation will be when we win the SEC championship. I'm sure it will be because the "best" team didn't get in the game due to a fluke loss or something.
