Arkansas is better than us but not that much better. They don't want to see us again.

Do you people count their warmup pitches when you obsess over these things?? How about if they play catch with their brother on campus on Tuesday? My gosh

Just let it out. For some a May series may be more important than the health of an incredibly talented young pitcher.

I can respect your view on things too.

Doesn’t matter if we like him, because he is coaching LSU next season.

Maybe Van Horn knows more than the 30 billion dollar organizations. But unfortunately more than likely that he is just a lonely, spiteful, exploitative old man who let kids having a little fun get the best of him at the expense of his own player. :(

Given DVH's track record of putting pitchers into MLB, including a Cy young award winner, I will defer to him over an asshurt volfan30 message board clinical opinion

Truth now starting to come out...

Vitello admitted he picked a “dumb” time to say what he wanted to say. Seemed like he didn’t regret what he said, just the time he chose to say it.

Just imagine how good Kopps woulda been if he wasn't so tired.

What a stretch to be butthurt..."You played you're best player again...no fair".

WTF are you talking about?

Kopps is 24 years old and DVH has more Cy Young winners in 19 years at Arkansas than TN has had likely all time.

Some believe Van Horn is directly responsible for Drew Smyly’s TJ surgery. Not a sterling record of pitcher health. But if you care only about series wins in May and not the health of your pitchers I can understand why so many posters are so quick to defend him.

I am simply shining a light on the dark side of college baseball that Van Horn is a big part of. Congrats on the series win though.

My gosh

We won, but not the "right way"

Ok Dr. Vol. We will have you consult on all future pitching decisions for us

I think people forget about his age. 111 pitches at age 24 is much different than on a younger arm. Not to mention a days rest in between. Can anyone name a pitcher Van Horn has ever burned up in college? Of all the things to bitch about Bet your arse Vitello will end up in a predicament now where he is forced to push a kid past his limits or risk losing a big game/series. Wonder what he'll do?

If you did consult me your pitchers would have a much better chance of being able to play catch with their kids one day.

Please show me the data on the harm caused by a 24 yo throwing 60 pitches one day and 50 a couple days later. He's physically mature. Vitello would do the same damn thing and would be correct in doing so.
