Seriously what Kelly has done so far with taking a roster with 39 scholarship players (and we are still only at 72 now) and being 2 points for undefeated with the amount of transfers playing and an oline with 2 true FR. at right and left guard and 4-5 FR on defense…I would give an A

It's crazy to think about but we have 8 new starters on offense this year including the entire OL, QB, RB, TE and for the Auburn game will also have 8 new starters on the defense this season with Major Burns out for a while. The entire secondary minus Jay Ward are transfers, both safeties and corners. Ward is the nickel guy the only LSU guy who returned and will be starting.

Im guessing Kirby got an F- from you year 1?

He got a D- from me. I was pretty harsh and got on a lot of Georgia fans nerves with my criticism of him. I'm glad I was wrong.

It was a brutal year, for sure.
And people should realize that all of this is based off 4 games and not even a full season, and does not reflect what they might do going forward...which is a fair point by you.

a reasonable college football fan knows that you can't judge a SEC coach or a team on 4 games, especially since those are mostly out of conference games

Florida has already played 3 top15 teams 4 games into the season. Probably the toughest schedule played in college football thus far as a guess.

That's some pretty good judging material. And while I'm sure Florida would like to be better than 2-2 on that schedule, for a 1st year coach I think that's pretty good.

Kelly on the other hand you are more right about. 4 games, no top 15 teams. But he does already have a loss despite that, and based on that loss I don't think it's crazy to suggest LSU would likely be 1-3 right now on the Florida schedule.

If I had to pick one to hire right now, I'm picking Napier.

How many times would you like to be wrong?

Did I miss FSU finally getting ranked?

I guess I can change it to top15 teams if you want.

Ok fine, I see FSU finally made it to 23 in the last AP poll.

Doesn't really change anything.

I don’t really care what you do, it’s just funny watching you be wrong over and over and over again

I'll take being wrong about FSU making #23 in the last poll over being wrong about the entire topic in general.

I would be kind of curious about how Florida and LSU fans feel about their own coach. Some of the LSU fans have had some positive comments, but very few have posted letter grades. (I skimmed the thread so maybe i missed some)

Do you want me to repost them with the correction so you can look for another way to avoid the point?

But really, I guess the fact LSU fans are praying for their loss to get ranked and seeing that as a positive says more about the state of the LSU program than I ever could.

I would say B+. All you can hope is continual improvement as the season goes on this year. That’s how Kelly should be judged. At this point we have done that.

I can’t fairly comment on Napier

It's not as crazy as you think really, it's college football. Especially these days with the transfer portal. Easy to lose, but also easier to gain. And for top schools, should be a net gain most of the time, unless just not needed.

Almost every single year Alabama has the lowest amount of returning starters. I think this year is probably the exception, because we didn't lose 10 players to the draft last year.

both are going to be really good...

the east is coming back with Georgia, Tenn and Florida rising..

West is gonna get tougher with ARky and Ole Miss rising.

you won't lose 10 players to the draft next year either, so no worries there

Kelly = A+ (very flukey 1 point loss to good team, offense and defense seem to be getting better every week)

I love LSU too, but week one was not a flukey loss. FSU dominated us.
