Who would be happy with this stat. This isn’t a one-off; we have been dealing with it since Malzahn’s late tenure.

Never in my life since the 1980’s have I seen Auburn offense this bad. OL the issue? Hire someone that can field them. Iowa has no issue doing it.

It is depressing watching teams like Kentucky be able to field functional offensive lines and for whatever reason Auburn, despite having 4 coaches in a 7 year period cannot find a single coach or recruiter that can bring in an SEC quality line. Not one. As someone who grew up watching Auburn play power football, it is nauseating to say the least.

In the off season (which will start pretty damn early for us), go and hire the best f**king offensive line coach(that can also recruit) with a track record second to none and put this shite to rest.

I mean, the QB you run out there likes to throw INTs early in the game to put us behind. Most coaches, like UT did this weekend, pulls him.

Almost pre-requisites to be AU coach:

1. Field sh*tty offensive lines
2. Be very stubborn and prideful in your sh*tty play calling
3. Never bench your starting QB no matter how sh*tty they play

James Brooks, Lionel Janes, Bo Jackson, James Bostic, Stephen Davis, Fred Beasley, Heath Evans to name a few

When Auburn was power running teams, hard nosed, make you bleed.. Let’s get back to it instead of beating you with scheme.

I would not enter the next season without the most expensive DL and OL in the country. Build from there. There is no success without the trenches.

Because I've seen what this guy did once he had one: (wiki)

William V. Campbell Trophy (2023)
NCAA completion percentage leader (2023)
NCAA passing touchdowns leader (2023)
Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year (2023)
First-team All-Pac-12 (2023)
SEC Freshman of the Year (2019).

Bye Week optimism

Excellent chance we get to 6-6.
We'll gel enough on offense to get by Miss St.
I also think the defense can keep us in Ole Miss. 7-5 is out there.

The staff used good logic to try a plug and play with the USF guys. Can't blame them. Will never work out like we hoped.

Going forward -

I'm sure most already know this, but Joel Gordon was not with AG at Tennessee. So basically, AG and Gordon were running something else at Iowa St besides the bull crap we are seeing now.

Hopefully AG was just heavily influenced by Heupel and knew the current bs would work with Bryrum Brown.

Next year we start / continue to build a real program with a real offense.

Just a shame this year isn't going to produce some excitement.

It's aggravating, but I'm not sure the two situations are really comparable.

McIntyre is in his second season at Tennessee and got into a couple of games last season. Even in mop up duty he knows the system and has experience in it, so he had some foundation for replacing Brandon.

Brown is the only player on the Auburn roster with more than 8 months in the system. I can see if CAG isn't ready to throw someone with not a lot of experience out there.

I think my biggest area of concern is that through multiple coaching regimes, Auburn seems to lack the ability to make adjustments for the second half.

I know our OL broke Nix but he surprised me how well he did… he had the case of yips with us… wouldn’t step up into open pockets and prematurely scrambled. Throwing Int’s in critical times too.

What could have been.

I will give Golesh credit on evaluating.. all of us ‘Burning down the Barn’ over him trimming the WR fat.. the only one that has truly hurt is H. Fields. Nimrod/Singleton is on par with Coleman so far.

I hope so, I hate to say it.. but what if AG actually starts calling the plays moving forward… or is he more of a General?

I don’t think our D can stay ahead of a mobile QB.. both Mississippi’s will beat us this year

It was just as much about getting competent QB coaching.
