I know I'm setting myself up for a bunch of "butt stuff" replies, but seriously, you could make the argument that Missouri has assimilated into the SEC better than A&M.

At least they have a SEC championship game appearance in football and actually won their NCAA tournament game today.

LSU has done more in baseball alone than A&M's entire athletic program has done.

So Aggie loses this argument as well.

Missouri is an original SEC member, not sure why we're being dragged into this. And to answer your question, nothing

A&M shouldn't have been in the tourney. There were more deserving mid majors.

Agreed. As an SEC veteran school, I'm offended by OP's comparison

Doesn't even make a dent in the conference's bottom line. You were brought in to get the Houston market for the SEC Network, but now you're redundant because big brother Texas fills that role.

Lol do tell what great institution you graduated from, the only good sec schools are a&m, uf, uga, and vandy, I would be ashamed going to any not in that list

This. The fanbase’s passion and resources alone are enough to make them a worthwhile addition.

“blah blah blah.. sips aren’t here yet..”

Answer: to make all teams across the conference feel better about their achievements when compared to money rich Texas A&M, who has only finished in the top 4 of the big 3 sports one time * since 1940.

Conferences are about revenue and scheduling and they fit the bill as much as any of the expansion teams. We're not a conference that needs new members to come in and carry us. And we're not a startup conference filling out the ranks.

I'd rather have teams that fit within the Southeastern core but tbh since the first expansion everyone who has joined has fulfilled their end of the bargain with regards to expanding the footprint and being a decent enough opponent to where other member schools aren't scurrying to fill out a weak schedule to make sure they make a sport's post-season.
