I know you're not seeking, nor do you need, vindication from rival fans, but you're alright.

Insecure is one word I would never use to describe the Bama fan base.
To the OP. Nothing about my fan base bothers me. I appreciate all fans that support the program, don't care about their other personal preferences.

Glad this time it was from a fan that lives in a poll barn.

Didn't even rush. Plus i went to Ole Miss because I've been a fan my entire life and didn't want to go to Bama, State, or Auburn. Plus i don't need to pay for friends.
I wanted to, but I just couldn't afford to be in a fraternity.
But, I hate that our fans give up at the drop of a hat. Doesn't matter what sport, the first loss and the fans give up it seems. And they always think the best way to solve the problem is fire somebody.

You Arky fans. One is not like the other.
Both are questionable character high quality coaches. One is known for being an offensive guru and the other a defensive guru. Petrino, Saban, and Meyer are the only coaches to ever take two different schools to BCS games fwiw.

Although I think LSU has some of the best fans in sports, we tend to be bipolar little bitches sometimes. We will turn on a coach or a player in an instant then love them again the next week.

Yes, some more than others but that "some" is a pretty large group
Quick :CSB:
Me and a friend were at the LSU-Ole Miss game at Tiger Stadium. We had just scored a touchdown and everyone was jumping up and down and i couldve sworn i had seen someone fall from the upper deck but i wasn't sure(i was in the south endzone)
Sure enough, some drunk arse dude jumped up so high when LSU scored he actually leapt the rail and fell forty something feet down onto the crowd below. He landed on an old man and knocked him out cold. The dude that fell was dazed and started walking up the stairs saying "i need to go to the bathroom"

nce was slipping so it invented a self gratifying, elitist image to keep itself relevant in the minds of Bama fans, when in all reality we were irrelevant. We need to be advertising 1992, 2009 and 2011 a lot more than 1920's and 40's titles absolutely no one but insecure Bama fans care about.
Holy shite. A Bama fan who admits it. An undefeated rose bowl win is just that. It's not a national title.

There is a portion of our fan base that is very insecure from almost 25 years of very average football. These Bama fans are like a really hot chick who still feels inadequate from a bad breakup so she gets a massive pair of fake tits and a facelift that ruins everything.

Then we not only have to claim a few too many to make ourselves feel better, we have to put these archaic stats on every tshirt with our logo on it. Got 14 is not a legitimate response to any question, ever. Notre Dame fans don't do it, USC fans don't do it. Why does Bama have to be so obsessed with this randomly chosen number?
Got'cha. I failed to comprehend your point at first.
BTW, I added more newspaper articles in my last post to those claiming there was never such thing as an "NC game" in the 20s and 30s.

See my post on page five that shall prove you're wrong. It WAS a national title game.

I totally dug your post. Alabama fans feel the need to vindicate the team's success and fail to enjoy it in the moment.

Right! Then the same people that boo at the games wonders why we don't have the top recruiting class every year. Nothing good comes out of booing. Nothing.
Posted on 5/3/12 at 12:30 am to Rickdaddy4188
We would get along just fine.
The booers want to blame the coaches for sub par recruiting classes though. They are idiots.

Exactly. Is the team expected to perform better when told that they aren't living up to expectations?

I wouldn't have gotten a bid had I dressed like that. I can't think of any fraternity with guys that dress like that. Hell, I've never dressed like that. I really can't think of a fraternity that dresses like that here, and I find it really hard to imagine Ole Miss having fraternities that are that "geedy", for lack of a better term.
I'll take your word for it though. I haven't been to Oxford since I was a little kid. Definitely plan on going this year though. Hopefully the grove will live up to the hype.
