They have as much or more talent than any team in the country. You don't get that many straight years w/ #1 recruiting classes w/o being loaded w/ players. Obviously a lot of it depends on how the new QB's do.
I think your last sentence hit the nail on the head.

More times that not, it doesn't matter how talented the rest of your team is if you QB doesn't produce in an offense that is predicated off of QB play...and that's what Alabama's offense has been since Lane Kiffin entered the OC job.

Before that, sure, it was an offense that didn't reply on great QB play. It had a great running game and played stellar defense.

You've been here since 2012 and don't know I'm not an Alabama fan?

I have to say, this is the most unpredictable Alabama team we've seen since probably 2007 when Nick Saban arrived at Alabama.

2007 was not unpredictable at all. All 22 starters were pretty much etched in stone. You knew who the QB was, the receivers were, even defensively. We also knew they weren't very good.

This is much more akin to 2015 when we had no idea who the hell was starting outside of Rueben Foster, Ragland , Minkah and Ryan Kelly
Oj Howard, Derrick henry, Daron Payne, Bradley Bozeman, Coker all turned out to be great players that season but were question marks at best to start the season.

He thought I was a Tennessee fan last week, and there was nothing I could do to convince him otherwise.

What do you expect out of Alabama this year?

One thing I absolutely expect is plenty of threads about them, started almost exclusively by LSU and Auburn fans.

Bama don't sniff the playoffs. 2 losses at least. Saban will be blowing steam on the sidelines

I think a lot of rival fans expecting them to slip will be disappointed by season's end.

What do I expect? Well, the Oline has huge and very mobile guys that have legs the size of tree trunks and butts the size of tables and Jaheim O and Tim Brown and Turner and LBers out the wazoo and maybe the best freshman safety in all of College to go with kool aid and I don’t even know who the starting running backs are or the Recievers but I do know Jalen Milroe can flat out haul -ss so jalen hurts never threw it that great and they beat us so yeah I’m thinking considering they’ve had the number 1 or 2 class in the country for as long as I can remember and it takes a major upset or a great coach to go for 2 pts or Gibbs to drop a pass that would have been a Td late against Tenn to keep these dudes out of the playoffs they will be right there in the hunt for everything! Anybody thinking otherwise is smoking crack!

I rarely look at the username that I respond to (I'm multitasking at work).

I'm sorry that offended you. If it really bothers you, throw up a University of Auburn logo on your username. :)

What ppg are you expecting to give up in 2023?

Are you expecting to be better against the pass or run?

Both actually. Front 7 has legit ILBs again for the first time in several years. Downs at S is going to be Minka Fitzpatrick good

Dallas Turner is projected to be drafted between the 8th and 12th pick in the 1st round

Turner’s a talent, for sure. But, based on how Texans coaches are raving about Anderson’s leadership in his first NFL training camp, he’s a throwback in the best sense of the word. Not many of those dudes left in CFB.
