What do non-biased people think of Marcel Reed?

I think he is a very solid QB who is improving as a passer and that he’s a good decision-maker. I think he’s easily top 5 in the SEC, maybe even top 3, but I’m ignorant and biased.
So; what say the knowledgeable folks on tRant? Would you trade your QB for Reed? Troll if you must, but I’d love a serious discussion, even if I don’t like or agree with what’s said.

Still +900 to win heisman on Fan duel, with Mateer and Beck +1000. Idk about our fans, but the odds makers still think hes gonna have a great year.

I think he’s great against overmatched opponents running scripted plays
We’ll see how improved he is at reading talented defenses in the coming weeks

I think he struggles passing, particularly over the middle and deep.

really too early to tell how much hes improved. But he has improved as a passer, theres no doubt about it.
The question i have is, is the staff going to play to his strengths, or will they just channel their inner-jimbo and force him to be a pocket passer?

He's a bit undersized.
I think he plays one more season after this. A&M has a 5 star waiting in the wings.
Reed has better weapons this year. So if his reads and progressions improve, he could be top 3-5 in the SEC.

Let’s hold off on this until this weekend. I’m not trying to say he’s going to fall off this weekend, but 2 games against very inferior teams isn’t a great way to judge a player.
