You’d have to know my dad… old Cajun guy from just south a Crowley. Always been a bit of a cynic when it came to the tigers but it never stopped him from missing the game. He worshiped Saban, despised Miles, loved O and Kelly nearly broke him but that didn’t stop him ever missing a game.

He’s been struggling lately ever since giving up the sauce but he’s really found strength in Kiffins sobriety and Journey. He’s really not one for social media and doesn’t know much about the team besides what the media guide before the game tells him. I showed him the transfer portal class coming in and it legitimately made him misty eyes. He said and I quote.. “that boy really knows how to make a roux”. I’m ready to share these memories with my daddy.

Social media is a cesspool. Your Father should stay off it. And I’m glad he has found something to hold onto. Alcoholism is tough. I come from a family of alcoholics

This is a very cool story and I’m happy for you and your dad. I’m not sure it’s wise to anchor your emotional well-being to a football coach.

Look man, im very happy your father has found some way to use kiffins sobriety as a catalyst to improve his and your family's life. I really am. That being said, find another reason. Kiffin is a mercenary. If an nfl team called him right now he would be on a plane by 2pm and not give a single frick about any player he convinced to come to lsu. Thats to unstable.

This. I went through the same phase as the OP’s father(minus the alcoholism). Lane is a solid football coach and nothing more.

Sorry, but he’ll be drinking again before Kiffin is done.

I hope! He’s more fun when he’s drinking!
