Nashville

This, Atl is a pain in the arse really. I love that it's played in a dome but I hate ATL most of the time lol.

Nashville sounds great right up until the moment you are sitting in freezing cold rain, in a seat you paid $500 for...

I guess I'm just not a vagina about sitting in mild weather for a football game.
It's early December in Tennessee. It's not really THAT cold. Though it does rain a lot that time of year.

It was cold as balls in 1992 and it was cold as balls with rain in 1993, that's why the game was moved to Atlanta to begin with.

I can see it being rotated between Nashville and Atlanta, but New Orleans is just to far away for most of the SEC schools. Atlanta is by far the most central location and also has the most flights into and out of town.
Atlanta is much closer for every team in the Eastern Division, as well as Alabama and Auburn. Oxford is only 27 miles closer to NO than Atlanta. It's only 68 miles farther to Atlanta than NO from Fayetteville. From the distance standpoint it would only benefit two teams, LSU and MSU, to have the Championship game in New Orleans. Face it, New Orleans is on the southwestern edge of the SEC and it already has the Sugar Bowl.

It's the Southeastern Conference, and Atlanta is the capital of the Southeast. The Dome needs to be made over or replaced, but Atlanta is where the SEC CG needs to be.

For once, I agree with Jed. Football was meant to be played outside, even if you can't see across the field because of a snow storm.

Jackson.
Why should Mississippi be completely shut out year in/year out?

Watching a game on TV when they are playing on "The Frozen Tundra" is awesome, and there are times when experiencing a game like that in person is cool and memorable. Thats great and all, but big, prestigious games are not played in that environment, and none are scheduled at venues where that is a possibility. People don't want to pay premium prices for tickets and shell out the travel dollars to freeze their asses off.

I park at memorial stadium everyday. Even though it was a sarcastic comment, frick no it should not even be considered...

Has anyone said we need to hold it in Berlin?
Seriously, Atlanta is the most convenient location. If you put it somewhere else, the fans from at least one side would most likely have to go through Atlanta to get to the game.
On top of that, you know the ACC would love to have their championship game in Atlanta. If the SEC ever approached the city and the WCC/Dome group and said "We want to stay in Atlanta but only for even numbered years" the ACC would be right there saying "We'll sign a deal to be in Atlanta every year if you give us an ACC exclusive deal."

and it'd be better for ATL to host the SEC every other year than the ACC every year

I don't think Jacksonville would be a bad idea to throw into the mix, or possibly rotation with the GA Dome & Super Dome. Alltel stadium isn't a bad venue at all.

Guys, the super dome would not be an option... almost every year the winner/loser of the SECCG plays in the Sugar Bowl -- it's freaking four weeks later.

I think Nashville for a more neutral site. Nashville has a great downtown next to the Titans Stadium with a pedestrian bridge that goes right over to the stadium from downtown Nashville.

Well saying Nevada is not even a PAC 10 state lets go for Cowboys stadium!
