You think Florida has a WR corps that is unquestionably better than LSU’s?

Absolutely we are legitimately 9 deep
Van Jefferson
Trevon Grimes
Freddie Swain
Josh Hammond
Kadarius Toney
Tyree Cleveland
Jacob Copeland
Kyle Pitts
Rick Wells
That’s not counting any freshman who look promising.

LSU returns eight solid experienced LBs. Six of which have starting experience and are in their third year in the system.

Yes LB. going from a crypto 4-3 to a true 3-4 without White means depth and certain types of role players at LB. I have questions about the jigsaw fit to the puzzle at LSU.
We've been in a 3-4 for 3 years now...

Best unit in the league.

Florida Depth Chart
I just looked up your depth chart. Yes you have depth but it’s completely unproven. Your #1 receiver for the third WR spot has 3 career catches in 2 seasons. Our #2 WR last year had more yards than your #1. I don’t get how you can conclusively say your unit is better.

Yep. I follow LSU as closely as Alabama
You must not follow Alabama very closely then at all if you think LSU has big questions at LB, WR and RB

This is not where I left my car... walk into a thread about offensive line and get this list of WRs...

I'm one of the few dawg fans who have Center as a question mark for the team.
I'm with you. I'm not 100% sure he's locked in to start there just yet. Even if he does, there may be a short leash or some manipulation over the first couple of games... We're seeing both Mays and Salyer get more than a few snaps at C during the limited viewing practice windows... I don't think it's for nothing.

Shoot. Then Georgia will have a better receiving corp than LSU and Florida because we will pass for more yards this season than either.

We got beat up last season on the OL (Hill was our 4th string right guard. To beat a dead horse, he did great at right guard "for a 4th string")
It absolutely isnt for nothing. Depth at every spot is important. If there is an award for 2nd most valuable player on the OL, Cade Mayes should have gotten it last season.
I hope Hill is the truth at center. But for a twisted ankle or anything... we need a next guy up mentality.

I get what you are saying, but it isn’t all about yards. Their #3 receiver has 3 catches. That’s not something I would be willing to say is definitively better than LSU’s. If our players had yards because of an amazingly QB I might agree with you. Burrow is a good QB but he isn’t padding anybodies stats. I personally would take our WR corps over any in the SEC not named Bama. If Georgia had Holloman maybe them too.

To crush our enemies, see them driven before us, and to hear the lamentations of their women.

Ours will we good with who’s returning. Most excited about Landon Young getting back on the field after his ACL tear early last season.

I dont expect you to want to trade any of your players for ours (except maybe our LT).
I was just pointing out the fallacy of using total yards preseason when we know the post season numbers could tell a very different story (and now you are making excuses for your receiving Corp because of your QB or style of play).

UGA should have the best OLine in college football, and it really shouldn't be close. Returning at least 7 players that should all be playing on Sundays, that got starting experience last year. And that's not even counting any true freshmen.
Whoever said we are talented but young couldn't be more wrong about the young part. We will most likely be losing 4 starters to the NFL after this season.

Huh? Our receivers had good yards. I’m not “making up excuses” my point was that if our QB was the reason for our receivers stats and they didn’t actually look that talented (think Aaron Rodgers with anybody but Adams and Nelson, maybe Cobb) I would agree. But they put up solid numbers and appeared to be performing at a high level while doing it, which gives me more trust in their abilities as a unit.

True sophomore at center who didn't have the best games (while at RG) against Bama and Texas in 2018.
We are young at a critical spot.
Still... Hill will be surrounded by All American candidates at both guard spots if they stay healthy all year. That definitely helps a young center.

So based on the responses so far, this is going to be a really good OL season for the SEC? Not a single fan has come in this thread and claimed they won’t be good
